Whats Your Religion?

i dont know what i believe in. but i've had this idea in my head that when we die, we don't really die. matter cannot be created or destroyed. basically means we aren't born and we don't die. we just change states and recycle ourselves through all of particles of the earth and become so many different things. kind of like incarnation but different.

what now

i also kinda had this thought that when we die we wake up again in a new life but we still have all our thoughts and memories but then we go through that life and die and go to the next with all your thoughts and memories and so on and so on, but relatively speaking your life times would become days like the days we are living now. so what is to stop us from thinking that we die every night and are reborn every morning?

Catholic, but believe in taking the Bible very lightly. it's not literal, and i think the concept of God is far beyond comprehension capability of the human race, and those who use "a big guy in the sky controlling me" as a way to dumb-down the beliefs of even devout catholics is a total cop-out. be good to people, have morals, enjoy life, go skiing. everything else will work out.

karma's a great concept, too. quote from Harold & Kumar "the world tends to unfold as it should." yes, a ridiculous movie to quote or take seriously, but i think it holds true.

i think that there is a heaven and hell.... and that the only way to heaven is through jesus, god, and the holy spirit PERIOD.
going to church every sunday and knowing every verse in the bible is good...... but that wont do a thing for you in the end 'cept get you closer to god here on earth, but the only way to do that is if you trust in him for eternal life.....
that being said i still go to church almost every sunday (live with the parents sorta have no choice) and what not, do i think im a better person cause of it??? NOPE.....
basically going to church will do nothing unless you listen, and to be honest i day dream during it 'most every morning lol...... but i still beleive im going to go heaven when my time on earth is done.....
and please lets all just be nice, and respect each others posts even if we disagree.

I don't really have a single name for my beliefs.

I practice meditation and walk labyrinths and smudge myself.

I'm very spiritual, but I wouldn't say religious.

I was raised Jewish, but I don't give a fuck about karma or heaven or hell or anything, and I don't believe in that whole upper power shit. Eventually I wisened up and realized I don't have to be Jewish, and now I consider myself Nihilistic.

could someone explain to me how conservation of energy applies to death? I mean as far as I can tell it would just be the heat energy and electricity being absorbed by the ground, or whatever surface you are on when you die. not too mysterious...

yeah. i agree. although i seem to recall reading somewhere that you lose weight like the instant you die.... idk where that comes from though

im confirmed in the UCC,

aka Barack Obama's church.

i dont know whether i believe in the whole god concept, but i believe in the ideals of brotherly love of the church.

Born and raised Catholic. As for my own beliefs, i believe that there is some ultra superior being in the afterlife, just not necessarily God. I kinda believe in the star wars force kinda thing. We are all connected somehow. I'm pretty much against organized religion, mainly the church, because honestly they have no right to control what people think about religion, or the way its perceived. As soon as they hide part of the religion from the public, the religion is unlegit.

i guess im an athiest. principles of some religions are good, but organized religion has fucked to much shit up. i just cannot see someone in the sky making shit go.

"When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel bad, and that is my religion."

~Abraham Lincoln

I am a deist/pantheist leaning agnostic. If there is a God I think it is more of a creator like force than a guy with a beard. I think of God like most people think of things like gravity. More of a law or laws for the universe than an actual being.

I don't understand how people can believe that there is a form of supernatural person/spirit/force that controls everything and decides who goes to heaven/paradise and hell.

If there was such a person, don't you think he would let us know in some way (an actual convincing one) that we should live and act in a certain way to get there?

I mean, the bible says the human population started off with only 2 persons, Adam and Eve. That means, by the 2nd generation their kids would have to mate with each other to keep the population growing. Not only does the bible say that is wrong, but that would also mean that there was some messed up genes back then, and most propably quite a few "retarded" people.

Personally i believe that we live our life as one of thousands of other species on earth, and that we will eventually die. Our hearts will stop, our brains will stop, and we will be dead. Nothing will happen to us, we will simply be dead. Our thoughts will not fly off to somewhere good or bad, it will all just be over. It stops.

off topic: I don't like to think of this as Charles Darwin's thoughts, it is simple enough that i'm sure someone had this idea a long time before he wrote it doen, he was just the lucky guy getting credit for it.

Religion is created for humans to feel better about themselves.

I don't mean to offend anyone, this is just my personal thoughts. I'd like some feedback though, i kinda like talking about this.

Catholic. I definetly believe in God. and like loyd-christmas said people take the bible wayyy to literal which makes christians look like kooks.

quakerism. its the most chill friendly religion. its all about being a good person and listening to yourself.

so mellow so rad. its more of a way of living than a religion.

I am Frisbeetarian

Created by George Carlin

The religion states that when you die your spirit floats up and gets stuck on a roof forever, like a frisbee

Actually im Athiest

nothing.for now im just sitting in the back watching, waiting to see what unfolds. its quite entertaining actually, seeing all these people argue over their religion and all and then arguing with athiests about how "your wrong, no your wrong". basically im just saying im undecided and hella lazy, so i guess well just have to see.

lutheranian protestant, but im not a hard core believer. i go to chruch some times a year, not more, not less.

I was raised in a highly christian church. Evangelical to be specific. I hated it as a kid being forced to go to church every sunday, so i pretty much rebeled through out my teenage years.

I have begun to form my own beliefs about christianity based on what i know. I believe the word religion is a horrible word and has only caused war in the past. I dont have a religion, I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I dont go to church every sunday or read the bible every day. I do however try to live my life how i think Jesus would want me to. I fuck up and make mistakes but that is part of being human and why Jesus forgives. I also dont force my beliefs on anyone else. Evangelicals belief it is their duty to go out and convert the world. They make up the majority of missionaries and people who are most likely to tell you that you are wrong unless you believe what they do> Growing up and seeing that soo much pissed me off. I believe everyone has the right to think what they want. If you ask me what i think i will tell you. if you dont ask what i think then you aint gonna here about it.

basically its not religion its a relationship with big JC.

JA!!!!!!!!!!!!! RASTAFARINSM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!

word, this is pretty much exactly what i believe. but my mom makes me go to church every sunday and confess sins, i just confess stupid things.

I do believe I'm a good person in general or try my best to be, the bible talks too much about the sins and the devil and how pretty much you will burn in hell in eternity if you do something wrong. It says to watch out for evil that will darken out lives... i wouldnt wanna read about what could make my life misserable but how i can be a better person to others who need help from me and how to make the best out of any situation I'm in in life. If life is soo short and I'm going to hell for wearing flip flops to church i might as well really really enjoy life right now.
