What's your major?

French and Arabic, quite like the idea of being a diplomat but it's crazily competitive...or maybe an evil, soul-destroying banker for a couple of years before escaping and becoming a ski bum

corporate accounting is a never ending busy season. budget season. project season. year end. tax season. repeat.
gotta spend your time in the trenches though before you can sit at the top.

Majoring in drafting, Ill be done in one semester then I'm sure I'll be a ski bum and probably get into a trade....

Majoring in Mechanical engineering next year, I want to do something with aircraft for vehicles, specifically spacecraft or trucks. I would also like to open up an offroad shop later on in life and to build a desert racer, but we'll see about that.

Should say next fall, its the new year already, duh.
Another interest with the engineering would be developing my own private space company, either dealing with interstellar travel or earth to orbit travel. NASA is going downhill fast so its a real possibility.

poli sci, possibly a minor in marketing as well. Not too sure what I want to do with it, although I plan on opening my own business once I'm out of school

natural resources and im gonna be applying to climatology schools in the near future. hopefully gonna be a teacher at OSU or a low key CC in the mountains.

Thats niche as shit! I love seeing a major that you've never ever even remotely thought about before.

Film for me.
Be the next Christopher Nolan or make enough money as a freelance DP to provide security for my family. I'd be good with either.
now to find a good film school...

International Business & Economics. I'd like to do international law, or be a in congress/house of reps.

If you despise the oil industry why would you contemplate getting a job like that?
you could become a vulkanologist or a seismologist and save lives on the long term...
or you could become a soil expert (i believe through minor geography) and make the environment and peoples life better by determining if a soil is polluted or not.
you can become a structural geologist and do stuff like mountain management, by example you decide where the safest spot for a road is or you could examine current structures such as tunnels, powercables and even skilifts to determine wether or not they're still in a safe spot..(you can also do safety management and blow up hazardous rocks

You will need a masters in Geology to work in the oil industry and you will be able to make a lot of money developing the single most important resource on our planet. Why do you hate the oil industry? Because of all the wonderful freedoms and energy it has provided you?

history, minoring in education

...contemplating joining the army via OCS when i graduate. Then teaching after. I don't want to go elem school-mid school-high school-college-high school/mid school. I just don't want my entire life to be spent in a classroom.

Mass Communications for me too. But concentrating in Journalism/Public Relations.

Dream job would be to start my own publishing company.

samezees yo econ is the realest. cept you might wanna back that up with a stat minor or some hard science or something cause us econ majors get fucked for jobs...

People use that as a justification for a lot of things. Though before you know it, you have a career with that corporation, and are feeding your family by helping them do all those things you don't believe in. When your family is on the line, fighting the good fight towards some greater societal good seems not worth it.

Im applying to the Chemical Engineering department this month. I think I woudve considered molecular engineering but that major wont be offered at UW for a few more years. Weak 8(~

Major in Outdoor Leadership.Minor in Psychology.
I want to work for an adjudicated youth program or an Outward Bound School.
