What's your LABEL?

This is a question for the so called action sports athletes. What do you call yourselves? Not just as skiers, but as people participating in an alternative individual freestyle sport.

I don't like Action Sports. I don't like Extreme Sports. I don't even really like Freestyle anymore, because it is misunderstood and abused.

What do you as a community want to be called and wouldn't you rather be in charge of that and not the marketing shmucks of the world. I think that the time has come for a new name. What do you think?

 
i dont know my label. i dont pay attention to what people who dont ski say about skiing. if i had a label i waould kick it in the balls until it went away

The point is that newschool has been labeled an "action sport." So has skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, Inline, etc... I just think that's a shitty name. I don't like that label and I'm asking you all if you do?

I dont give a fuck what they people that call skiing an "action sport" think. They can have there "Sports:Without Action" if they want, but skiing is the best sport out there in my opinion, and that they cant change.

I don't think there is anything that covers it all without being corny to us. Throwing ourselves into the air and grinding rails is normal to us, but to anyone who isn't familiar with these sports will go "Damn, that is so extreme!" when they see it.
