Whats your favourite....

Whats your one favourite thing about your home mountain? it can be absolutely anything, big or small. just list the name of the mountain/ resort and then what you like best about it.

Im from the UK but ski out of a small village called Morgins which is part of the Portes Du Soleil in Switzerland for 5 weeks a year...

The thing i like most about the resort is the view off the first chairlift on a sunny morning, sounds stupid but it's pretty special.

Lets see some good answers!

Brandywine in OHIO it's a wee bit bigger than a sleddding hill, however right before they put up the park, the blowers just dump on the hill for about 4 weeks and we always make little runs that are quite fun

I like the Mary Jane part of WP because its not all resorty. There aren't any huge apartments, shops, or restaurants, just one small base lodge. Its a nice change from the rest of the ski areas in Colorado.

Mission Ridge
no lift lines, all kinds of terrain, grooming is great, access to alot of terrain in not much hiking or traverse time

high speed lift on a 200 foot hill. the terrain sucks but you can get 20 runs an hour through the park. Since I'm an old man as park skiing goes, 50 runs is my limit so can take a lunch break and ski until I can hardly walk in a couple of hours.

Perfect North: Everyone there who skis in the park is pretty nice and awesome and there is an amazing park vibe.

Big Sky: Just an awesome mountain with so much varying terrain. Also short lift lines and is never crowded.

favorite and least favorite. lack of security.

can get up without a lift pass but then your shit gets stolen

Giants Ridge MN

Good terrain park when it's kept up.

Decently high hill for MN, 500 ft.

10 miles from my house.

Nice overall resort.

Probably the best in MN.

pow days at willard mountain, ny

small mountain but bulding kickers and gapping entire trails and landing into fresh pow.....sweeet

Cheap ish season pass. Our main lift chews through crowds WAY better than our old non detachable quad.

i like the glades- there's lots of secret stashes and stuffand it's nice cuz i always ski w/ people i know, even if it's not planned

i like

-how it has a 90ft verticle

-its 95% gapers who trash the park

-park as 2 rails

I dislike

-my fries and gravy has chunks in it

-a season pass is more expensive than most real mountains

Snoqualmie and is preety local so I love being able to go up meet guys and at the end of the season walk away with some good friendships shared with great runs and awkward left lines.

Moonlight Basin is where i ski and the best part is when we get a big storm...hardly anyone skis there so there will be a foot of fresh pow is some places for like two weeks. prime.

I ski Highland Hills just outside of the Twin Cities in MN. I love the community in MN and Highland especially built around free skiing. Its a chill place and has a 300 ft. hill with one 35 ft. booter. My favorite part is just taking laps through park on a Sunday morning.

Alpine Meadows. The boundary policy- Going out of bounds is A-OK, which is good!

Pow to be had all over the place, short lift lines, lazy people who don't hike for turns, etc.

oh and there's an awesome park but I don't ski that very much, though I want to improve a bit

my favorite thing about my home mountain is that it's 25 minutes from my house, there isn't too much else to love about it

So many Snoqualmie skiers in this thread, yee!

But actually, I love the park (rails especially). I have been to a ton of resorts (Whistler to Vail to Hood to Stevens and more) and none of them have rails like Snocompton's. I don't even know what it is, they're so easy to slide, not sticky, a little rusty, and awesome.

Additionally, Alpental is just down the road, and there's some really gnarly terrain back there.

Ohh, and seasoned fries for days, you all know what I'm talking about

how everyone knows each other at my mountain, so you never shred alone. and the poutines. annnd . the pow. mmmm

Everthing. PC is amazing. The terrain is pretty kick ass. The parks are superior. The food rocks and its just a great time whenever I go up there.

Steamboat:
