Whats your favorite type of giveaways?

Hey NS,

There seem to be a lot of different giveaways going on right now.

from Instagram ''Like my account and tag friends'', to NS ''give me your e-mail so we can send you promos'', to The Bunch's raffle (concept that i like a lot), to Gilson's ''hey make a design and you might ski on it this winter''

What type of giveaways do you like ? which ones do you hate? why?

I'm going to do giveaways with the podcast and i certainly want to do specific ones for NS. An idea i had in mind was for you guys to give me a review of an episode, as long or short as you like, tell me what you liked what you didn't, etc. Give me your thoughts on it and then the best review gets to win the giveaway. That way i get feedback from you guys which helps me a lot and on the other side you get something different than the ''like my page'' giveaway.

Curious to have your thoughts!

TLDR; giveaways, cool or cringe?

Tag us in a photo doing blah blah blah and we'll choose the most awesome one and share it and dm you and send you the prize.

Especially if it's at an event activation and you have a photo op set up that looks really rad and not like just a bow to my brand kind of thing.

People generally like needing to put in no effort to enter giveaways.

Yep makes sense, personnally i'm not the biggest fan of those, like liking a page for no other reason than maybe winning something. But yeah that's if that what you guys like its good with me

I also think that if you’re giving away something really cool, you could make it harder to enter so that only the people who really want it will get it.

yeah like the gilson giveaway and solomon did one like that with snowboards earlier this year. I actually did the salomon one and had a blast learning to use photoshop while doing it!

Personally, I'm a fan of a give-away that requires some sort of effort. Makes me way more hyped for it and on the edge of my seat for the winner announcement. Also it gives off the feeling that I will have a higher chance of winning because I expect not as many people to put in the effort. Writing a review, providing a photo or artwork is sweet!

I will say if you're just trying to reach the max # of people then the way to go is tag 3 friends and follow...not a fan of those but they make sense for reach

The ones I win.

But seriously Gilsons was awesome because it was a very involved process. I did not partake cause I'm a lousy artist but following the thread and seeing everyone's work was super cool. It makes the give away more of an event than just a way to gather contact info for marketing sake.

Yeah i'll be doing those on IG, but i also want to do specific ones for NS that are less cringy

Personally I like ones where there's some sort of skill or competition to it, so it's less of a crapshoot

"like my page and tag 2 friends" makes me feel like you think I'm 10 years old and makes clear that the promo is only that, a promo. A contest of sorts is much better

I really liked the bunches raffle. I don't mind giving ten dollars to support them while also getting a chance to get some pretty nice prizes.

The tag 2 friends and share type of giveaway is definitely easier, but I don't like them as much.
