I love Oregon.

The mountains, the open space, the climate... it's pretty much perfect.

so how bout you ns?

favorite chunk of your country

Québec caliss, great mountains, great weather, always hot, so much snow and NEVER icey. Plus we got poutine

i ve been down to oregon surfing and road tripping. favorite state for sure. camped in cannon beach and by camped i mean slept in a van and got woken up by the popo at various times and locations
but BC is the best place in the world. just moved out a year ago. nicest chronic trees and that fat thick BC pow. both are the stuff of legends
fine ladies as well. its a place of happiness

i really like MN other than the fact that skiing is, shall we say less than great.. (thats kinda a deal breaker at this point)

I can be at about 10 boat launches within 30min of my house, 5 or so within 10min.

Great golf courses, although not as cool as playing ocean side, but golfing through the north woods is pretty awesome.

I personally dont mind the weather. (except with its like -10f and windy) The summers are pretty good, and we get a solid 4 seasons, none of this 2 season bullshit. haha

through in some 12-13k ft mtns that get a couple hundred inches and ide be in paradise. haha

Utah, except with Portland, Oregon where slc is and an ocean where the salt lake is.... that would be fucking epic. Oh and Portland includes the Portland politics, specifically regarding alcohol and marijuana.

Only problem would be overpopulation from every skier in the world moving there.

Still Utah though despite it's flaws. California seems epic but haven't been there much.

B.C is the BEST province. so many good mountains, such good snow, amazing rivers to paddle in the summer and of course the weed

massachusetts.

we have 4 seasons, the ocean, good sports teams, and it's just an overall great place. yeah there's not really skiing, but there are way better things than skiing to me.

if 99% made sense that is.

Maine is alright, i want to go to out west so fucking bad, but right now i have good mountains (considering its EC) ocean and surfing, i live on a river with boating and fishing and swimming every day (but no fucking tubing or towing anything!!?!?!?!) and just pretty mellow place. only i am a loner because no one else in my school skis. kind of sucks

WashingtonMany people hate it here, but I love it, wouldn't want to live anywhere else.Don't say anything about the rain because it's really not that bad, it's overcast most days.

BC. Even our license plate says so

Ohhhh Connecticut how i adore you soo.

like you know everyone in your town and people who have a season pass at your local ski area. One Love-Connecticut!

these are all town names in PA- the greatest state in the land

oh and by the way heres a little story- When driving through Lancaster PA you go through the towns go GAP, INTERCOURSE, BLUE BALLS, PARADISE, and the little hamlet of DICKINGS

I am not making this shit up at all- fucking Amish people

West coast has such great surf, at least for the U.S. And the farther north you get the less populated the breaks. I love being able to just pull the car over and go out with some friends, nobody there to bother you. East coast is death in so many places.

Northern California because there's literally SO much to do here.. Surf, Ski, Boat, insane mtn bike trails, and the weather is relatively mild all at the same time almost no matter where you are. The sun shines more often, and though it does get hot in the summer, You can drive 3.5 hours from San Francisco and be in Tahoe, or Yosemite, or some gnarly surf lanes up or down the coast. It's all relatively well-connected.

Plus, weed is pretty much legal here if you're not retarded about it - and SO much cheaper... (then again, the whole pacific coast has this luxury, so really the Pacific coast just rules)

Maine! Longest ocean coast in the us, epic fishing, soooo many lakes (for waterskiing, wakeboarding, summer houses) sick hills for mtn biking, the best lobster, golf courses on the ocean(samoset) SUGARLOAF, perfect temps in the summer, nothing beats swimming in the ocean on a hot day (other than skiing), oh yea, i own 40 acres and thats normal

The CO bro. I mean come on, everyone that moves here pretty much loves it and everyone that moves away hates where there going. Its pretty self explanatory, everyone here is nice, you have the best terrian parks/ some of the best terrian in the world for skiing. Small mountain towns every where. I70 lol. And Beau Joes.

Hell yeah. all of norcal is pretty dope. Not just tahoe. Tahoe is sick though. I like driving the pch up and just stopping randomly and hitting the random beaches.

Yosemite is sick too, have you ever tried to ski any of the stuff in there? I've only ben through there in the spring, still snow but not much to work with

BC or Washington. BC has Bella Coola, Mica Heli, Whissy, and others. WA has Baker. I got all I need right near where I am.

ohio is so great, we have corn, and flat land, and no snow, so its great weather all the time, we also have corn and beans. did i mention corn?

Skiing in Yosemite wouldn't really be any fun. Badger Pass, CA's oldest ski area has 10 runs and like one chair lift. You might as well be skiing in the East. Yosemite has dope terrain, but sleds are illegal, so you could tour or bootpack to what you want to ski, but you're way better off messing around in the Tahoe backcountry or a place like Sonora Pass. The dopest place to ski inTosenite would be somewhere along Tioga Pass by Tuolome Meadows and that road is closed in the winter. I agree with everything Dingo said, and if you count Mammoth as Nor-Cal, then you're pretty much set. San Francisco remains one of my favorite cities to this day. Yosemite is such a crazy place to be. It really puts you in your place and makes you feel so small. There are so many beatiful areas in CA too. It's a great place where you can live in a big city/urban environment, but drive a little ways and be in one of the world's most desired national parks, or at a great ski area, or surfing, or at the lake tubing/wakeboarding.

British Colombia. We have: Incredible pow skiing, incredible quality weed, hot as fuck chicks, Whistler, and a whole bunch more awesome shit. Basically, BC is best.

all i can tell you is that Toronto Ontario kinda sucks. the city's great and all but there isnt a whole lot of art or music culture (compared to montreal and bc). besides, its EC ski hills...

(Eastern) Washington State. We have four real seasons. Those of you from the east saying that you have four seasons haven't got a clue. We can have -10F weather in the winter and 100F heat in the summer and any combination of the two in between. I think Spokane is vastly underrated as a ski town. Though we're nothing like Salt Lake City or Tahoe, no one from here seems to realize how good we have it. We've got 5 ski resorts within a 2 hour drive and dozens within a four hour drive. Schweitzer is closeby, as is Red, B.C. and Whitefish, MT. We get 300+ inches of average annual snowfall.

And we don't just have great skiing. We have some of the best lakes (with some of the cleanest water) in my mind on the continent. Lake Coeur d'Alene and Pend Oreille, as well as hundreds of other smaller lakes, are closeby for swimming, wakeboarding, kayaking, etc. All of the local mountains are open for mountain biking and hiking in the summer. Spokane also has a world-class Parks & Recreation system that takes advantage of all that our region has to offer.

Finally, Spokane is large enough that we get all the events that larger towns get, but small enough that you know everyone in your neighborhood and you're bound to see someone you know if you go downtown.

Washington no doubt

Seattle.jpg

The whole west coast, Cal to BC is sick, fuck it even down to Puerto Vallarta.

Seattle are is my favorite though.

Minnesota for sure. We have tons of snow and nice summers. We invented tonka trucks, snowmobiles, masking tape, Wheaties, the stapler, pop-up toasters, and that's all I remember. We have more shorline than Cali, Hawaii, and Florida put together. We have the MOA, and the people here just have this attitude that's different from other places. Minnesota Nice is real. Plus we have - Atmosphere- P.O.S.- Bob Dylan- Prince- Brother Ali- The Time- The Replacements- Eyedea and Abilities- Heiruspecs - Lipps Inc.- Tapes 'n' tapes- The Suburbs- Motion City Soundtrack- Big Quarters- Owl City- American Head Charge and a shit ton more.
Plus some dude here has the record for largest twine ball and it weighs 17,000 lbs. What a badass.
