Whats your DIN setting

this thread is already going to shit....

a smaller boot sole results in a higher din. A shorter boot is able to put more force against the binding. So, if two people are the same height and weight, but one has a smaller foot, the one with a smaller foot will have a higher din.

if you think this is BS check out any din chart. why people feel the need to tell people they are wrong when they know nothing themself is beyond me....

anyway:

301mm boot

Park - 8 (rossi scratch)

everyday - 10 toe, 10.5 heal (FKS and s916s)

pow - 11 toe, 11.5 heal (s916)

sorry , I forgot. You midwestern kids know everything ;)

and just to mess shit up more....

then why are u telling everyone there din is too low??

it depends on sole length, weight, and hiegt(center of gravity)

bootsole, weight, and height doesn't mean shit when your not a pussy...if u ski hard your shit is up I guarantee it. anyone who skies like a pussy doesn't need thier dins up past 10 on any binding. but once u start sackin up, specially off cliffs, u have to crank the din UP...

I ride race stocks and they are up to 13, but still come off when they shouldn't sometimes, they are older bindings though

iggy..how's the 12 on the naxo's treating you. Just curious. I've got my fingers crossed that they're huck worthy. When I skied Freerides, I felt like I could crack them with a good turn.

P.S.

325mm

6'2" 190

914's at 9

912ti's at 10

p12's at 10

Nx21's at?? probably 11

i might be being dumb, but shurely smaler boot needs more torque.leverage will be lass on a smaler boot therefore;

smaller boot=lower din.

larger boot=higher din.

please forgive me if im stupid, but i think this is right!

i dont bloody know, but im on like 7front/7.5back on my px's.my boot is 315mm, skis are 182.hight about 5'9ish, weight no idea but i think about 11.5 stone.not got a fucking clue what that is in your fancy modern way.

i like to have my bindings so i can through my weight forward as hard as i can-and my heel relese, and yank my leg out sideways and relise the toe.this is due to falling on a tree/scrub run last season and getting my ski stuck in a fucking branch.i slowly slid down the hill twisting my knee-but without enough force to relese the binding.if i that happend know then i could just rag my leg as hard as possable and the binding relises(hopefully)

Worst thread ever. Please, don't fuck with your DINs kids, unless you're popping out all the time.

First....

I said it above.

Small boot = higher din

big boot = lower din

that is correct.

anyway...

regarding the Nx21. 12 has held me in very well.

I started at 8 to see how they did. I took a fall once, and while standing up what actually able to pull my boot out sideways. At least I know the released...

I think 12 on the Nx21 is like 10ish on my s916s. It gets it done.

Hucking.....only done a few small drops on the nx21, but it felt fine.

I still would rather huck on alpine binders though.

and I like the Nx21 a lot more than the FR. I used to run 12 on the FR as well.
