whats yalls home resorts?

I started at hockley (ahem) and Caledon.. so embarrasing.. but everyone has to start somewhere and it was close to home. I like blue now - always fun at blue!

before i thought it was wierd why people went somewhere other than blue, but now you're just a dumbass if you dont' come to blue (well, that is if you actually care about good skiing that is).

everyone best be comin' to blue as much as possible this winter, ya hear!?

for some reason..lots of kids at my school dont like blue. We have a bunch of school ski trips..and they would all rather go to horseshoe...

I get to call good old glen eden home every winter. The hill sucks but they get some allright jumps going and there are always great night sessions going down in the park. I will be skiing at Blue as much as possible this season though so if you see a bigger guy (6'4) on a pair of older orange 1080's come say hi

yeah, i agree that blue has much better skiin, but i love the environment at horseshoe, but thats probably cause ive been goin there since i was born, thats what i call home, but blue rips too

I've been skiing at blue since I was two years old.

Blue is and always will be the place to be in Ontario.

I mean come on, if you're into newschool why would you go anywhere else?

2 18' superpipes, better rails than Whistler, and jumps that will blow you away this year.

Oh yeah, and we have 4 parks all the way from total beginner to Pro.

So come on, give up your other resorts and just come to blue.

It's the way it's gotta be!

Doug your wrong, tali is the best place for newschool, i mean we got 2 pipes, which they groom atleast twice a year. small ass kickers and like 2 rails.

People have hucked cliffs taller then the 'hill' I usually get stuck 'skiing' sking. They use pictures from Big White in the brochure because there is nothing to take pictures of at the hill.

i grew up at the elbow but ride at kirby (oshawa ski club) now, its shit to the max but its better than nothin cause its a hell of a drive to horse shoe blue or moonstone.

Mount St. Chicopee, in ghetto Kitchener is where it all began. At least we're allowed in the park this year. I'll be heading to blue for some turbo fun this year some time.

boler 'mountain'.. its actuly an old landfill in london. I moved to oshawa for school tho so atlest blue is only a 2.5 hour drive now not 3.5 hours.

Tali should be sick this year... their redoin their park last year it was pro this year it should be even more gnarly... same with beaver valley last year they had about 12 consecutive really nice tables... this year their throwin some rail combos and everything in it... it should be really good!

 
this just in: Uplands is 120 feet tall, not 110 as I previously thought. I guess they measured from the roof of the lifty shack at the top of the lump.

This one time, they had a 5 foot table and a log that you could hop over.

 
Hey, yeah i'm new to NS. I am skiing at Kirby (Oshawa Ski Club) and Sir Sams up in Haliburton. Devels Elbow is the closest but its a huge ass rip off and it has no park.

I was at Bleu on the 19th with my school...it was sweet, we couldn't go into the park casue we were with the school but all they had where a couple rails and a table open, the pipe wasn't open. I was talking to our instuctor and he mentioned something about a water pipe bursting in the park so they had to push the snow out...i dunno but when i was there the park wasn't really 'up and running'.

I was at Sir sams on the 22nd and they built a booter there (wicked) and the put in 4 rails (1 straight (15-20ft)

hey Mills, wherebouts do u live? i'm new to this board as well, me -n- Ryno ski together at Kirby. Elbow is the closest but its a piece of shit, no park and the prices are ridiculous. mills you should get together w/me and ryan and we'll hit up kirby sometime, or maybe head out to blue or sir sams

 
I pretty much always ski at Loch Lomand (in thunder Bay, Ontario). It's a real hardcore place cause there are no tourists.It's only like 20 min from town so that's pretty cool. The only problem is that the terain park eats shit and the half pipe sux balls. The runs are fairly steep but short. GO T. BAY!!!!!!

yeah, i dunno about kirby, they don't have there park open yet or their pipe. Sir sams has nice rails...and don't get me started on how i hate elbow......so damn ridiculous

 
Oshawa Represent!! holy shit there tonnes of people from there on here. Things are building up there, sunnysides all parked-out, everythings open, but the normal park and pipe suck. some good spines and 1/4 pipes on sunny side.

I've only skiied for 3 years but my 'home' resort is devils elbow. I know people think they dont have much of a park but my friends dad/grandpa owns the place and they have made some nice changes to it.. new is a 30 foot table top, a square metal grind rail and some improvements to the spine. Just ask me anything and i can relay it on to Dan Homberg (owners son)

 
Started out at Chicopee and Devil's Elbow. Don't go there much anymore cause Blue's where it's at! Glen Eden is OK if you just want to session their half decent park and pipe though.

It's all baout Craigleith Ski Club, and some of the other c-wood places. Blue is great except for the lineups, and single tip racing panzies that cut in the pipe.

I'm from Caledon.. great atmosphere, cuz they're hardly any yetis, lines are short... but the park is small.. although, management said they're makin the park better next year *cough*...

 
yo caledon representin! it sucks like mary said ^ but what can ya do. and who was it that put they ski at caledon it was like 2nd post. i prolly know you since it is such a small club
