What‘s wrong with my base?!

Dried out bases. Wax them for sure, at least 2 times.

Depending how dried out they are, you might need a base grind to remove the "dead" layer of base and expose a fresh layer.
 
I wax them Every 3 Ski days and they still look like this.Think I‘ll need a stone grind.Did i do something wrong while waxing them or do some Skis just Need a grind after Buying them?

Also depends on the wax you’re using. Some are trash and come off super quick. Also the conditions you’re using them in will have a difference. Have the days you’ve been riding on them been super cold? That tends to strip wax off quicker. Was the temperature range for the wax you were using match up with the temperature of where you were riding or was it just universal? There’s a lot that can go into having a dried out base and from the looks of the pic, getting a base grind wouldn’t do any harm.

As for the bases out the factory/shop question, pretty much all companies will have their bases waxed before they leave the factory, but it’s usually done with cheap universal wax to stop the base being dry and looking bad on show and skiing badly on first use. It usually won’t last long, even as little as a single day, before the bases start to look dry.
 
Take them to a shop (not REI) to have them waxed. They are definitely dry.

Are you hot waxing/scraping/brushing or just using a rub-on wax?

The latter is not really going to do it.

If you're doing the former and your bases still look like this, then you need to go get a stone grind then hot wax them with some base prep/warm wax a few times. Then add your wax temp of the day.

Hot wax. I already brought them to a local Shop.Thanks for all the advice!
 
You're better off doing a grind on a brand new ski just for the sake of getting a better structure on the ski. Rarely do most brands send their skis out with a decent base structure.

You wouldn’t need to do that with ours. Base structure is important.
