Whats with Wu-Tang?



All he's trying to say is that the other guy just picked some random ass RZA verse and probably doesn't know what half the shit means, yet still believes that RZA must be the best ever. He's not contesting the validity of the lyrics, just the guy who posted them. And yes, if you can't figure out the lyrics (however intricate they may be) on your own, you really have to ask yourself how you can relate to the lyrics, or why you even like the artist or the content to begin with.

With all of that said, when those guys went to compare the lyrics of Lil' Wayne and RZA, both of them chose two very, very biased examples.

Here is some Styles P that completely beats out all four of the examples given, in my opinion anyways:

I appreciate your acknowledgement of this and the way you approached responding to all of the posts.

Obviously with the subjectivity of music, no one is going to change their mind about what they've said earlier because....well....it's their music. People will defend that shit to the grave. I'm out on this thread. I know a lot of it has gone parallel with that whole "Fuck Kanye, new Wu-Tang album" thread, and I personally thought Yeezus was an amazing album too.
 
if youre not in 3rd grade its really not that hard to come up with the deeper meaning of a poem. also rza is actually a really smart guy and has immense talent and creativity youre just to much of a fucking idiot to see that.
 
NS'ers seem to think that since I enjoy music they don't enjoy that I know nothing about Hip Hop, when in reality, I know a lot more than you think. In all honesty, I probably know more about the Wu than most of you. I know my history and acknowledge my roots.
 
Thank you for putting it better than I did and explaining in depth what I meant. D-TAY still seems to be at the point in his NS career where he feels like explaining himself. With all the idiots running around, I passed that point long ago.
 
Well they seem like lyrics a retarded five year old could write, but the premise of the post was to show an example of meaningful lyrics. So I am confused.
