Whats with the announcers?

So while watching the runs of dew tour you can always hear a guy calling the tricks in the background. Is this because the announcers have no fucking idea whats happening? Or is there a reasonable explanation? and also why would you make it so loud, we can't see anybody but the skier so they should at least be either more discrete or a lot quieter about this.
 
And I am decently pissed off by this because in NS we see petitions to get Luke VV to announce the olympics but whats the point if we can't get anyone knowledgeable to do it even for Dew Tour?
 
i gotta repost the commentary on goepper's rail section from xgames 2013

ski/snowboard commentary has always been hilarious, they push so hard for "legitimacy" in the sports world then just hire bros to do the commentary

the funniest today was the announcing for shaun whites first place snowboard slope qualifier... the announcers sounded totally unimpressed/asleep for the whole run then when the 93 score got announced they just started yelling randomly
