Whats us with Tanner at the X Games?

I heard that Tanner was pulling out of slopestyle today, but would compete in Superpipe. Does any one know why he is pulling out?

Or because espn f***ed the skiers by not rescheduling slopestyle like they would any other event so they made it best trick thats crap. Skier go bigger with more style than any other event. As for Tanner it could have actually been because his ankles though.
