The kind with the skier in it multiple times showing the trick.

I want to learn how to make one in Photoshop but first I need to know what they're called.

looks to be a sw 9 that is being forced into a sw 10.

it is called a sequence,

you do it by taking a bunch of photos while the rider is in the air without moving the camera. then merging the frames together .

you need to shoot at 5 frames a second or faster, that looks to be done at around 8.

hes saying you dont do the trick like 50 times and take a new photo each time or so i believe, because when your done you do photoshop that mfer.

well not technically, but you need a damn fast shutter speed to take like 6-10 photos while the skier is still in the air. or you can just use a video and pause it on the frames you need

well what you do is take one background image, usually your first frame, and then you cut the other frames and only paste the parts that have a skier in them. that way other changes like people, chairs, blowing trees, flags or anything don't really matter.

It would be worth trying, but I think it would look like shit because the person would be at different heights in each frame.

not if all the skiers hit the feature at about the same speed... (which isnt that hard to judge)... i think you could make this look really sick on a box... except you have like 6 skiers do 2sev on pretz 2sev out with the same exact sequence and then paste them all on to one picture..

Yeah, I didn't think about a box or rail....that would look so sick! And have each skiier dress in all of 1 color, so it looks like 1 person changed color while they were on it.

if you shoot it close up on the rider and follow the action with the camera than you have to create a background with all the different images. that way is a lot harder. usually that is what you see in a skate mag, but its usually left unedited and they just show all the different pics.

argh... i should've kept my mouth closed... im cameraless until next winter hopefully.. tryin to get my hands on a D40... what do you shoot with?
