I saw a guy slip on a rail and break his shin bone, and the bone was sticking out of his pants...it was pretty bloody. So whats the worst you've seen?

haha, some little girl today at keystone, probably 6-8 years old, went off a 35 foot table. she had no speed at all and just landed on the flat, had to be taken by ski patrol. its not the worst, but its really funny

well my friend works on the ski patrol and he told me bout this one where this guy cleared and landed flat on like a 60 foot table and had a compund fracture in his femur. it took my friend and some other guys 4 hours to clean up the blood.

 
about 3 years ago i saw a guy fall off of the American eagle lift at copper. he was 2 chairs in front of me. i went all the way down and went up the lift and ski patrol was still workin on him. it was pretty nasty.

my friend mooned me when he went flying past and wasnt paying attention and ran into a mogul field without knowing it. he got raped by the moguls with his pants down.

my friend ski patroller said once he came to a guy, and his leg was totally around the wrong way, they didnt know what way to twist it back... gross eh?

Im a patroller. The worst was a lil girl who fell off the chairlift onto a bamboo stick ropeline. The other woulda been a spinal. Both were icky

i saw this kid hit one of those small jumps goin about 100 mph and go about 25 feet on a jump that should shoot a person no more than 7 fee. he laid on the hill for about 15 min. until someone acknowledged him and there was blood and they left an oxygen mask on him for a while

i saw some snowboarder break his collarbone, he was too high to realize it though, so he just sat there feeling it, and screaming when he pushed too hard

i watched a snowboard do a grab in the middle of his board off a 50 foot table and he just rolled back in the air and landed on his neck and was sliding down the hill and his head was just bobbing side to side in a nasty fashion. the ski patroller next to me was freakin out we were on the lift.

then at state like 4 years ago on a slalom course this girl went down the practice course and a girl right after her and the slalom gate was flopping and came back and caught her under the goggle and ripped her eyeball out.

i was at keystone today too... did you see the dude on the snowboard who knocked out nine of his teeth on a rail? that shit was insane.

 
not the worst, but..didnt see it, but saw the guy..he was skiing under my lift like 4 years ago right through all these T-bars, he was lookn sketcky. i bombed the hill and went into the patrolers room, where i saw this guy walking around holdin his head, and then patrolers brought him in. then i looked on the ground and saw a trail of dripping blood all around the skis outside the patrol room, and going up the hill..yea he gashed open his head a lil.

 
he didnt get hurt, but last year at buttermilk a guy, second day skiing comes up to us on the top of the inrun to the Xgames 'Money Booter' and asks how the speed is... we tell him 1 speed check and bomb, he goes as fast as he could and just flys slowly falling to his back. he flew 60 feet to his back, got his stuff and said he would try it again...

then a guy this year overshot a 25 foot table by 20 feet and slid down to me and andrew (sickkid13) and we had to stop him and hit him in the back so he would stop coughing on his tounge... that was fun... he was seizeuring too, and blinking funny... i dunno what happened to him though...

My dad's friend had been skiing and some other guy went by her real fast and ran over her skis, it threw her to the ground and she broke her neck. She's alright now though. Took a year to recover from it though.

I saw a guy take a digger head first over a mogul once, and full speed went into the lift pole head first.

Last year I over shot a 60 foot table by 20 feet and landed flat. Landed and just fell over, and my legs hurt a lot for a while, but nothing bad happened SOMEHOW.

I saw a 10 year old fall off a 40 foot cornice. When I jumped down to help him and his leg was pointing in the wrong direction. It was out of bounds too, so I picked him up and skied him back out into a trail and flagged down the ski patrol. That entire ordeal took about an hour.

a couple days ago I saw a guy do a d-spin 9 about 10-12 feet out of the pipe at blackcomb but landed spread eagle almost in the flat. it wasn't pretty, fucked his knee hardcore.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day
 
ya what little_freerider said about that guy who was spazzing out and unconcious and shit. he slid down and wouldnt stop and i had to ski over and stop him and matt held him up, scary stuff.

haha the other day i saw this chick it a box and fell and her ski came off. she sliced her chin on her ski edge and it was so deep and just bled all over her neck.

today i saw some kid break his femur.

today at the x quals in brekinridge my freind brent hit the 1/4 pipe at the end of the course and went like 7 feet out and landed on the judgeing table in his back. he got knocked out for a fewmin and they had to take him to denver to get a cat scan or somthing i havnt heard how he is tho.

 
today a japanese girl took a 20 foot table (didnt know what she was doing) and broke her back......she was screaming and stuff. it didnt look fun

people who have itchy bums wake up with smelly fingers.
 
o yea i cartwheeled like 100 feet at deer valley in some shoot, forget what one a couple years ago..it was soo steep and powdery, so i decided to do a 180 and ski switch a lil (really smart) and got caught in the pow and fell. I cartwheeled the whole thing, catching air 2. people at the top were afraid to come down cause they seriously thought i was dead and 'didnt want to see my brains or blood all over the hill'. it didnt hurt at all really..jus looked bad.

 
Last year i saw a snowboarder try to ump onto a rail but he caught the center of his board and hit his face on the rail. He died on the way to the hospital. RIP.

 
I have only seen the aftermath of such events and I have to much respect to go nosin around the scene.

Spokaneskier, are you serious about the someone dieing every other year at Schweitzer? i just started skiing there this year. is it back in siberia backcountry, people without tranceivers and avie knowlege hopefully.

Just a dad with his family skiing. The guy fell to the ground, spazzing and stuff. Later the helicopter didn't even took him cause he already died. He had a bleeding in his brain. Wasn't nice to be waiting on the ski patrol alone with his family though.

Also a guy hit a pole on the side of the slope, ripped the skin of his skull. It was from the back of his skull, going to the edge of his hair, and back again. You could see the skull. Yeah it was pretty nasty.
