What's the word on Marker Schizofrantic Bindings?

So the first season that Schizofrantics have been on the market is over, would love to hear some thoughts? Good? Bad? Gimmick? Useful?

I was pretty interested when I first heard about these. But only know of two people who have used them the past season, one good review one bad.

Cheers,

My friend has them on his walls and is very happy with them. I would not recommnd them if you ski very aggresivly.

I looked into them earlier this year, but they seem to fail with aggressive riding and/or bigger guys.

on a K2 extreme or a fujas, they might be acceptable, kind of a cool system on the extreme so you could theoretically move them to center for some park ridin and then bump em back to rip some trees. otherwise i dont see much of a purpose.

I've got them on hellbents and ski very aggressively. They kick ass. just moving bindings back a few makes your ski, ski completely different. If it's super deep you can move them back or if its not too deep and your playing around landing switch you can center mount them. I keep mine at 11 andreleased when they shouldn't or had any problems with them. Super sick setup, I suggest trying havent them if you havent

i have the Griffon Schizos and they are AWESOME! i move em forward for sick jib days and back when there is nice pow. i live in alaska and they rock! if you get them get them center mount

they're fun til you shear the back plate, crack the heelpiece, watch your ski over a cliff out of bounds and have to bootpack for an hour to get it back after doing a 180 on a roller

Yeah can't say I'm sold on em, just sounds like there is too many issues with em not performing up to standard, Such a sick Idea though, just a shame it hasn't work too well. Fingers crossed K2 figure these problems out

+1 for cool idea but maybe not quite ready yet.
My friend has been through 2 pairs, they won't stay in one place for him. Ski a run and one ski is at +5 and the other is at center even though both started at +4 or some such thing. He skis very aggressively though.

i skied on a pair with them for about half the season. they were my friend's that i got to use for free because his dad is a VP of k2.

I didn't have a choice of skis, so i got extremes with schizos. overall, i was not extremely impressed. to be very honest i rarely moved them back from center, so they were just heavy and annoying.

unless you're really going to be moving them a lot, get something else.
