Whats the deal with no poles?

what i think is hilarious...is if you were to look back at all the no poles posts before wallisch's section and before everyone watched idea...SO MANY MORE people hated on it. That to me, shows how concerned everyone is with what everyone else thinks. It shouldnt take a video or sick skier to convince you that its okay to do something. do it because its fun, or it works better for you.
 
whats the deal WITH poles? thats my question... when did they come into being? and what purpose do they serve... really. unless you have nasty candide steez. or lack there of
 
i think skiing without poles takes away some dificultly in some tricks cos you don't need to worry about where they are when you grind or grab or spin, but i prefer to do it the hard way cos i feel better when i have, some times i learn tricks pole free then when i know what i'm doing with my arms i hold them again.
 
I dont understand why it matters. I feel like I've gotten a ton of hate, like people say "oh he still goes no poles" but I never went no poles because I wanted to be cool, its fun sometimes. people need to relax. all there is is skiing, which is fun, that's all anyone needs to know. deep breath
