Yup, simple question... I want to know which events were the best in your area!

Not just which was the coolest/most money, but which events had a great vibe, and were overall fun as hell to attend!

i wasnt able to compete in it this year but the biggest event to the skiers in mountain creek is the super ski fling

I think the z games at boulder was the biggest collection of talent in the area, that and the gave a snowmobile away.

The pre-season jam at Belleayre and the post-season jam at Big Boulder. Every one is always super stoked to be out there.

i wasnt able to compete in mine cause i injuired my back pretty bad, and then i had to go to lax tryouts to show my support for the team and crap, but it is the freeski superfling at mountain creek for me

That was a fun comp because we got to cut lines, and session the park all day, but they fucked up the judging sooo badly. On their first try they announced my bib number as the winner of womens halfpipe. I was a little confused (because I'm not female) but willing to take the money. Of course they took 2 extra hours getting the judging right and I ended up with nothing but freezing cold feet.

boulder's z games definately had the talent, although, as usual, boulder manages to screw things up royally. most fun comp i did all year, even though it wasnt really a comp, was blue mtn's pond skimming. they built a kicker in front of the pond to one side, so you could skim it or hit the kicker and gap the pond. people definately underestimated the size of it, which resulted in some rediculous bails; it was tons of fun.

super fling was beat, it was windy as shit which made it impossibly hard to get speed for the hits, and screwed up you balance on the rails. It was a jam session but they didnt make it very clear that you only got judged on your first three hits on a given obstacle, which resulted in a lot of people getting screwed. I didnt compete in the halfpipe comp but it seemed pretty legit

See and thats the difference. There were a bunch of people who went to Boulders, and then 3 weeks later they drove 3 hours to go to windhams, and by far wasnt anything close to Boulders.

at ski roundtop they have the anual r games in mid early may they r sweet and we have so verry sic i mean verry sick rail jams

trent let me correct you...the R games were in march....and Roundtop is going to be dirty this year just to let you all know

i like the May day boulder jam...it was legit beyond compare

funny, but from what it sounds like Roundtop should be getting better again. There parks used to be good, but the last year it wasnt the best. So hopefully all of the improvements and plans help the place out.

yeah roundtop took down the superpipe for the better. it takes like a straight month to get it up and running. but now they are gonna have the expert park there. they also cut a path straight to the halfpipe and are going to extend the incubator park.

Ur just mad that the superpipe got torn down.

Actually he's basing it on his experience at RT where pipes and parks have NEVER EVER been a priority of the mgmt. As long as the same people who feel terrain features are too much effort, RT will never be able to have truly great parks. (btw a 4 foot pipe doesnt even count as a halfpipe).

i think the superfling would be the best. Thers a good pipe and park and mountain creek and the prize moneys nice. I don't know what the vibes like but im sure a lot of people went this year and know
