Whats skis to buy.

Alright so I was skiing today and was really sucking and was wondering why I couldn't get an edge on any rails. Then I took off my skis and realized my one ski was missing almost all of its edge.....So in short I need to buy new skis but I don't have alot of money because I recently had to pay $400 in tickets so any one know of any cheap skis that still have decent quality.
