anyone know what kinda boxes or rails? how big of jumps?

any input would be greatly appreciated

This is relevant to my interests. :D

OH and also, (don't mean to jack your thread, but its related) by thanksgiving, what's the park like in Mammoth.

As of today (11/11/08), Main Park, Forest Trail Park and Discovery Park are all open. I don't know what's on Disco, but mostly little stuff.

Main Park has two jumps, about 15-20ft for the first one and 10-15 for the second one, but those are just my guesses for size. Nothing huge yet but the first one is decent for early season. Also plenty of rails up.

From what I remember:

-Down lift tower to start out

-new C-rail

-down flat-bar rail

-down rail

-banister rail is set up

-down rail

-sharkfin box

-flat down rail

and maybe a few more mixed in that I probably forgot

Not sure what's on forest trail, but a few days ago it was...

-starts off with two banked lift tower rails

-followed by about 3 flat boxes

-was 1 propane tank sticking up out of the ground on a jump for taps and stuff

-1 or 2 lift tower rails

And there should be plenty of stuff open by thanksgiving. Especially with the amount of snow we've received.

I was there today and what he said was pretty much spot on. I way loved finding pow all over the mountain though. Martin you should get your ass down there.

^ definitely agree with what he said. Pow was great this morning. I was lapping from the top over toward chair 5 and there was lots of very good snow out there.

Do they have the big pink wall set up so you can hit it?

I swear I've been there a few times and it wasn't set up to be hittable. Still there though, just no bank up to it.

no not enough snow yet to set that up. plus i think it got hit by a snow cat last year or something cause it is all bent out of place

they are building the super pipe (I assume its the super pipe since it is where it was last year), there is a smaller jump (20 ft?) at the bottom of unbound, 1 larger jump (40ft?) towards the top (they pushed the two mid sized together), a red bull wall at the very top, a z shaped lift tower where the super duper pipe goes and a decent amount of rails and boxes scattered through out. On forrest there are 2 tiny jumps, a rail, 2 boxes, a small jump (8 ft?), and another box. I hear there are boxes and rails on discovery as well, havent been over there though.

Everything is open now and has been for awhile. Main Park has the Superpipe, about a dozen rails and 3 jumps (35ft, 85ft, 65ft). Forest Trail has 2 jumps (with 2 takeoffs on each) and about 6 rails/boxes. Not sure what's in Disco or Wonderland Park. Jibs Galore has a ton of rails and some other ridiculous stuff like the red bull wallride and a sick step-up to platform to drop and a quarter pipe to lift tower thing. South has choice of box or rail up top, then choice of a nice 45 footer or about 3 small (10-15ft) jumps, then a choice of a down rail or down box, then a choice of a line of 3 tables (30-45ft) or about 4 little jumps, then 3 sets of rails/boxes side by side.

Last I saw (monday), they were blowing tons and tons of snow to the area where the Super Duper Pipe goes, although it is still undecided if we will put in the Super Duper or put in a huge jump line. Also, more work will be done to add even more features to South Park soon.
