Lots of chill girls on NS just spread out around the world I guess! We need to start something to get us all together. Like a ladies ski week somewhere with a massive group discount!

I want my kid to have the chance to do the things my parents didn't do with me cause they just weren't that cool. He also has no choice because I want to do these things haha. And if he wants to go pro I will support him 100%! He even flipped upside down in a whitewater kayak this year because he saw me trying to learn my roll lol. Held his breath and wasn't freaked out at all. I so want to get him his own kayak for Christmas so we can all go together next summer.

In my Operations class we just spent an hour talking about lines(queues) and how time can be perceived in different ways by potential customers. Pretty boring topic? fuck no. Not when you can actually apply such a basic thing to make a huge difference. Thinking about places like Disney where wait times are incredibly long comparatively...It makes so much sense how and why they do this. Each ride tells a story in some way and the way they have interactive rides, or "pre rides/attractions" is so fucking smart. And I've never thought about it before. Especially rides like Dinosaur, The Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Rock'n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, the Great Movie Ride, Expedition Everest... literally every single ride has a way to distract you from the wait and get you involved in the ride before it's even started.

lolz. So speaking of school, my reading tonight is a law suit LITERALLY about "what is chicken"

I'm loving school as much as I think I can, but I am sooo excited to be able to start specializing in environmental law next year

Hahah she's not that bad. I just like to rant sometimes. Cat thing went too far on her part and I definitely think she is mildly delusional but she's cool. dude. It's so great.

I think people get too focused on getting a good grade or learning for tests. And don't get me wrong, thats a great goal to have but if that is the extent of your goals then you're not going to have a good time.

I try to think long term. After most classest I try to think of how I can apply it to my daily life (gotta get in that instant gratification lol) and if I had imaginary job x, how could I use this information to my advantage. It's super fucking lame, I know. But it puts things in a different perspective I think. It's not learning it so you do well on a test, it's so you succeed in the future. Which in my opinion is super valuable and it gets me stoked.

It's even cool to think about jobs you don't want and how those people in those positions use these concepts to make things happen (Disney example if you saw that on the last page).

In the future, I usually have piercing retainers or non metal jewelry for them so if I can't totally take it out, they'"" still be fine.
 
I am definitely quitting the Subway job.

Its 20 minutes farther away than the location I applied for, they are making me do 10-15 hours of online training on my own time and I won't be paid for it. Which is a fucking lot when you're in college... like thats almost how many hours I want to work per week... And my first 3 shifts will be unpaid/delayed 90 days and I will only get those three days at the end of 90 days...

I can get a better job that actually pays me for stuff I do and is 15 miles closer.

10-15 hrs to learn how to make sandwiches?! Lol that's crazy. I worked at a subshop variety store once. It was alright and got free food every shift. Subway sounds like bs though. When I was in college I worked inbound customer service/tech support. Pay was better than minimum and when it was slow I did homework in between calls. I'm sure you can find something better.
 
Haven't listen to Hands Like Houses in sooooo long. And now that I have an exam in two hours I'm just going to binge listen and not do any work hahaha.

Study habits aren't quite up to par with my enthusiasm for learning today haha.
 
Waiting to go into surgery.... fucking sucks so bad.

I've fractured and compressed my tibia just under my knee, and to fix that they have to pretty much build it back up and hold it in place with a. Plate and screws and possibly shave bone to help build it up
 
I had a gnarly anxiety attack during my exam last week and couldn't finish it. I told the TA that I was freaking out and he told me to talk to my professor on Monday. So I went to her office hours today and explained it to her and asked if there was anything I could do. But she said no because I got a 75 which was above the class average but I didn't fucking answer the last 10 questions and a C is fucking terrible considering I should have gotten an A. I'm fucking pissed.
 
my doc think I have ibs and I was on meds for it but didn't get more when they ran out and since then the symptoms haven't been too mad up until the last couple weeks. my tummy has been getting so swollen and uncomfortable and it's fkng up all my plans. I can only study so much before I need to call it a day and leave the library cause it's so sore. I haven't been to the gym since last week. I managed to go bouldering the other day and it was amazing but my whole body feels achy now and I don't know if it's cause I haven't been using certain muscles in a while and have doms or if it's to do with the ibs or if i'm getting ill. either way, this fucking sucks. I've barely moved all day. I've legit not left the house once. I've just been sitting in the same spot doing work feeling like dog shit. aight. rant over.
 
I'm hanging out with my friend from high school who just got back from Alaska and I am sooooooo fucking nervous. Last time I talked to him in person was like maybe freshman year of HS after he dated my best friend for 3 days. I don't know man. I'm fucking nervous as hell hahahah and I didn't even drink any coffee today wtf is up with that

Funny story. I got a snapchat before it became this huge thing. I got mine in 2012 and used solidseven as a joke because I only used it between me and my one friend. Then it took off and now everybody makes fun of it Hahahaha idk how to change it though
