I think they are about the same.

I used to skiboard.

Now I cant because I refuse to live a life of sin.

learning to turn on a snowboard is easy, jumping on one is not. Learning to turn on skis is hard, jumping on skis is relatively easy.

Jumpin on a board is pretty easy, and you don't have to land on your edge. From my experience landing on your edge = bad.

they have very different learning curves, I think that generally, snowboarding is easier.

You should belive everything you read on the internet, it's all true.

skiing and snowboarding arnt shit, the real progressors are the snowlerbladers haha

Skiing is much harder to get really good at...most snowboarders who used to ski even admit this. I snowboarded for 3 seasons and it was a much easier mastering.

A brave man will not live forever but a coward will never live.

jumping and landing on a board isnt hard at all, dewds.. 180s of little jumps, second day on a snowboard, when i was 11, before i could do SHIT on skis.

yeah.. also.. i want to borrow somebodies board next season, and take some runs. i bet i could do some styless threes or sevens first time back out on a board. third time ever.

both sports are great fun, so who cares?

The only tent i'm pitchin tonite is... well you get where i'm goin.... OH! (Quagmire)

its the age old question and theres no answer to it. Its like what is better a Big Mac® or a Whooper®? I think bigmac is better but in the end its an opinion as is this question. opinions have no definative answers.

if you have never skied or snowboarded before and you take a three day lesson in each sport, you will be better at skiing than at snowboarding at the end. if you do either for a year, you will be better at snowboarding that at skiing

My penis is harder.

freestyler525 ->i had to admit that was pretty funny

i used to snowboard and i ski with a bunch of boarders. i think that snowboarding is harder to learn but easier to get good at but skiing is easy to learn but harder to get pretty good.

Hey farva, whats that resturaunt you like with all the goofy shit on the walls and the mossarlla sticks?....... Shenanigans, your talkin about shenanigans right?

Once again, I would have to say it is a draw. I suck at snowboarding, but I am an ok sateboarder. I play roller hockey, so that helps with skiing. Its really a matter of choice, and what scene you are into. I think for the most part though the majority of pro snoboarders are cooler than pro Skiers, but we have our gems (like brad holmes)

I used to skiboard.

Now I cant because I refuse to live a life of sin.

i havent tried snowboarding, but from what i hear, if u learn to ski adn then learn to snowboard, by comparison, snowboarding's much easier to learn, but i guess it just all matters on how quickly u learn either of tehm

There is no answer.

It's all relative depending on the person.

To one person he may be able to pick up skiing easier than snowboarding, for another it may be the opposite. No definite answer.

In general, I like to think skiing is easier at first and harder to get good at, and snowboarding is harder at first and easier to get good at.

But that's just an opinion.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

^ I share your opinion but of course we are a little biased :D

if you've done its easier to learn the other becuas eyou know about snow edges etc etc, but its easy to get good at snowboarding but hard to get real awesome but on skis, its hard to get, but once you've got it its kinda 2nd nature for tricks you know..?

yea, I tried snowboarding for a year, and I wasn't good at it, so I went back to skiing. I got good enough to be able to go down blues without falling, but never any better after a year. Plus I didn't want to be annoying, sitting in the middle of trails, or not moving very fast. Basically, I can't tell you which is harder cause I've been skiing my whole life, and I only snowboarded for a year. There are definate techniques in both that are hard to learn, so I guess it depends on the person doing the sport.
