What's harder? Gainer off a cliff or backflip on skis?

I haven't ever gainered off a cliff before but kinda want to try it tomorrow. I feel like it's a fairly easy trick that just takes some cajones. I can backflip super comfortably on a tramp and gainer onto the ground from the tramp if it's in this ground as well as backy on skis. Should I be worried or do I have the ability?

i would say gainer, its just matter of do you have courage to do it :D for my first gainer i just watched somebody else do it and then i did it. i just run, and for my last step i start falling back and in the air i know that am i going to land it or not, if not i just tuck and land perfectly on my feet. its very easy trick because you can see water very soon. if you can, and want i would say that perfect height for first gainer is about 5-7 meters. if your about to do a standing gainer i cant help with that, still havent done that :D hope this helped!

Ya, I'm feeling like running is the way to go. The in run is a little sketchy but the cliff is about 25 so I'm thinking I should be ok even if I fuck up, won't hurt too bad

running into gainers scares me...i'm always afraid i'm gonna slip right before i flip and smash my head or something. i personally like doing them standing, just make sure you jump out a little before you start to flip. off a 25 footer you have plenty of time. don't worry about getting around, you'll be fine. just float it and look for the water.

My pool used to have a very slippery diving board and my friend slipped on a gainer. Luckily his forward momentum kept him from smasshing his head, but the back of his leg got all cut up. As long as you are moving forward, there is nothing to worry about.

OP, just make sure to lean back while jumping and it will be fine. I found that leading with the shoulder, not only the head, really helps. Basically just tensing your upper back (try to touch your shoulder blades together). They feel so sick off of cliffs once you get them. By far my favorite thing to do.

I saw my cousin smash his head on a cliff doing a gainer and he got 10 stitches in tha back off his head! Ever since then I find them super sketchy, although I used to think they were super fun . haha

I've tried to gainer off my 1-1/2 foot diving board. I've seen my cousin do one off it, but I just ended up hitting the water upside down and kneeing myself in the chin. I can't do either but I'd imagine that a backflip off a jump is easier.

Doing a gainer of a tramp would be sketchy shit.

My buddy does them off cliffs though all the time I think he started on a 15-20 foot cliffs doing regular backflips before trying gainers and it's just getting over the fear the first time you go for it.

its really easy off of cliffs that are 25+ feet. you throw your head, spot your landing and lay it out
