Whats harder....boxes or rails? or equal?

depends what you are doing. boxes are much easier to keep balance and shit of course, but harder to spin off because you cant like "grab" the box like you can a rail

rails are harder to ballence on, but ive seen some pretty hairy boxes in my day, it's all relitive, 8 foot long rail ? or 50 foot long box ? i dont even know what im saying anymore...

i think boxes are actually harder, because it's hard to maintain speed if they are long, and you have to keep your skis pretty level... i think round rails are the easiest, because your feet can be kind of crooked as long as your keep your center of gravity, you'll be fine.

comparing in that^ way doesnt make sense. i mean hell you could have a quad kink drop box versus a 5 fot flat bar hmmmm. when it comesto equal size andstuff, the rail is always harder, and better.

i think end off season boxes can be pretty sketch. when they are all worn out with screws sticking out and the surface worn out. easy to catch your edge and send you over the bars. rails tend to slide better as they wear. i think.

rails can get sticky and rusty, theyre smaller, they require more balls, you learn on boxes not rails, i can slide all the boxes at my hill but only some rails...

i hate flat rails most of all, because i think they only exist so gaper snowboarders can ride on to em 50/50 and think they've done something impressive. round rails only please... that will put a stop to this madness.

There are some fucking fast boxes out there. It especially depends if they're frighteningly haggard with screws sticking out the top for you to catch an edge on. Thanks, Grouse.

Yeah I just find more boxes with sticky spots than rails. Or the coping is a tiny bit uneven with the topsheet, dont get that with rails. But thats all construction. Mehhh
