I skiboard and now going to ski, skis you can go bigger and better chance for sponcerships. But i have no clue why skiers hate skiboards they are basicly the same.

 
skiboards are a learning tool for people just starting out, just like those little rubber things you can buy to connect your tips to do the perma snowplow.

you cant deny the fact - they are for people learning to ski - its like walking down the ski hill.

i can already ski. i could before i bought skiboards. or snowblades. whatever you wanna call em. theyre mad fun, thats for sure, but im getting skis now cuz theyre faster and when u do an iron cross tailgrab on them it doesnt look gay. but yeah, dont hate the skiboarders, just cuz we're a minority

I have skiboards but I don't use them as much because it's really awkward and I'm smoother on skis and I feel skiing is easier for me just to do basic... skiing.

I'm an inline skater, and I love hearing all the shit we get... how 'easy' fruitbooting is, and how I shouldn't be proud because I can do a backflip, because it's so fucking easy and besides, it's GAY! These people don't realize that I'm not out inline skating because I want to look cool or because I want to do the most difficult sport out there. I'm doing it because I like to do it, and I couldn't give a fuck what they think.

Besides, skiing isn't the hardest sport on the slopes anyway. Think it takes skill to ski? Try riding down the mountain on two fruitcakes with a floppy disk shoved up your ass. I won't have respect for anyone who skis until they do that, because skiing is waaaay to easy to be cool.

ski boarding is a sport by itself just like water skiing and rollerblading and should bot be compared to skiing especially the 'newschool movent'.

Ski boards are great for people on vacation or first timers - easier to pick up thus less people falling over infront of you and wasting everyone's time.

It should also be acknowledged that ski boarding tricks are also way easier than ski tricks. Thus a skiboarder wanting mad props for landing a 2 foot 360 mute should go suck my cock. Howver a skiboarder who hits a 30ft table top and sticks a 1440 should be congratulated. Anyway what i'm trying to say here is skiboard posers should be shot! All the hatred comes from poser skiboarders thinking they rule the mountain cause they can 'ski a black run' or 'land a 360 iron cross'

Skiboards Skiing and inline are all the same in the basics. People who hate skibaorders are idots, skiboards are they same as skis. Inline, skiboards and skis they are all stupid if you dont to tricks and get in the way A.K.A racers. u know what was funny, today i went to deer valley resort for the begining of the day, its a resort for rich people who are shitty skiers, i was up in there bowls and chutes, there were alot of shitty ppl who were amazed for some reason when i straightlined a chute, but the funny thing was a there were a ton of skiboarders there and they were all acting like the pimps of the mountain, it was kinda one of those things that u had to be there

90% of all skiboards suck realy bad all they do is snowplow and talk shit. But there are some out who are good and would make good skier. I skiboarded for 6 years(yes i was the first at my resort with them) but start sking to show that skiboards can have skill and was sick of the skiboards at my resort.

 
I skied for first time after skobarding for 2 years and it was just as easy to do things. Skis where easyer to go fast and land and it was alot more fun but it was just as easy to do things on skis as on skiboards. People dont like skibaorders cuse alot of skiboarders get in the way and are stuck up rich people but there are good skiboarders out there.

Evey one who thinks that skibaording are nothin like skiing are idots. I just started to ski 2 days ago and I can 540 on 30 foot tables and I allmost landed a 7. I also know some one that has only been skiing for a year and is sponcered by Nortica.

 
the reason that there are so many posts on this subject is because instead of presenting strong arguments for and against what is being argued about, peoples vocabulary is limited to 'gay' and 'faggot' and 'homo'.

If you guys think it through and say this is why i think skiboarding isnt as popular as skiing, or something, than maybe you will be able to get some backing on your position rather then saying 'we tortured him till he got the sand out of his pussy' I mean seriously. the main reason i give skiing more props is this....a GOOD skier can rip the park, ski bumps, and tear down a 50 degree chute in utah.
