Whats a good all mountain freestyle twin tip ski?

I’m looking for your opinions on good all mountain frestyle twin tip skis because I ride maybe 70% all mountain and 30% park. I’d like it to float somewhat in pow (maybe 93 underfoot+) and be stable enough to carve at high speeds (more oriented to all mountain).

Thanks in advance

I'm kind of in the same boat as you right now. The Line Chronic's new design for this year looks sweet and if I could find a deal on them, I would probably cop. My current rock skis are Chronic's from 2014 and I skied those regularly for at least 2 years. What skis are you looking at?

Yeah the new chronic seems to handle well at mountain. Maybe go Kartel if u got the cash but like the new stiffer ARV 96 might be good.

Would you still center mount your skis? I've always skied center mounted park skis, and I'm wondering if bumping the mount back a little bit would have much effect in the park.

I wouldnt mount it in the center bc id ski all mountain more so prabably at the traditional mount point (back a little)

And no i dont think bumping back the mount a bit would have too much effect, just makes it more verstile around the mountain.

I was seriousely thinking about the chronics too, i just don’t know how well they hold up at high speeds and carving since they are a bit flexible and if they float at all in a little pow.

I ski the ARV 96s for all mountain and they are awesome. I rode them in PC for a couple weeks and Jackson Hole for a couple days and had no issues skiing everything but park. Back home I ski park with them and they’re super fun and playful. I’m mounted at -2.5 which I think would be perfect for you if mixing between park and all mountain

The Benchetler 100s would have to be the best ski i have ever ridden they just do anything. I Ski them in Big Mountain comps as well as charge through the park. Things are unreal.

If you want to float in pow go for something with rocker. Something from ON3P is a bit more pricey but Magnus 102 or Kartels would probbably fit your needs both in and out of the park. They will be fairly stable at higher speeds and the rocker is huge so floating on pow will be no problem.

haven't seen flex patterns for 18 chrons, but i've felt recent models nice & stiff and they have ALL carved like a champ... super stable at high speeds, can't go wrong with the chronic.

Hi,

can anyone compare Line SFB to Atomic Bentchetler 100 as 50/50 ski for some am freestyle and touring?

I think the K2 Marksman a great I have them and I love they. They are great for charging, powder, park and etc. I have them and still can do tons of things in the park.

Marksmans are fun to carve and stuff but I wouldn't call them chargy. They are also on the heavier side when it comes to park.

I'de highly recommend the bent chetler 100. Somehow super light and nimble but can also charge if you ask it to. Also floats pretty wonderfully in pow

I have this years chronics as my all mountain rippers and they are by far my favorite for going anywhere on the mountain. I would definitely get these if you can.

I just bought the Icelantic Nomad 105s, they're a little wider then you may want but they handle great in most conditions and are full twin tip

Could anyone compare Atomic BC 100 to Faction Prodigy 3.0? I want some sort of allmountain ski that can handle bit of freestyle and bit of touring (with Shifts) and have qimuite good deal on both of them.

K2 Poachers rip all mountain. Love them. Great pop too. Stiff and will carve the shit out of the mountain if you get them on edge. Rarely use my Armada Al Dente Zero I got last year as these work anywhere on the mountain. If your east-coast, these do great even in ice.
