What's a gaper???

A gaper is a skiier or snowboarder who is

completely clueless. Usually distiungished by their bright colored

clothes and a gaper gap, the gap between goggles and a helment/hat.

Gapers also do the "Gaper Tuck" which is an attempt at being a ski racer

by tucking, however, it is done incorrectly with the poles sticking

straight up like thunderbolts and lighting, very very frightning! Gapers

also sit at the bottom of jumps and try and go big off table tops in

the park.

1. My eyes are burning from that gapers bright colored clothes.

2. I fell off the chair laughing at that gaper tuck.

3. Did you just see that gaper getting landed on because he was sitting like a dumbass at the landing of a jump.

I'm still confused on how it went from being pronounced as gape-er being defined as someone clueless with their mouth agape, to now being pronounced like gap-er and being defined by the "gap" between the goggles and helmet. Actually ironic because not knowing the original definition and pronunciation actually makes you the gaper huh? Haha. Older heads will totally get a chuckle out of this. Younger guys may jus sit there dumbfounded with their mouths agape. Lmao
 
Funny cause I hear it all the time and laugh. Sounds like gapper. I'm like dumbass it's gape, fucking gaper. So riddle me this then....if some people still get it as gape, then where the hell did they make the "gap" in the helmet goggles connection with "gape"? Makes no damn sense. Haha
 
shutup. ive never heard it pronounced gapper. and it wasnt ever from a mouth agape. its from the gaping gap between their helmet and goggles. you sir are no "old head," stop trying to be one
 
oh yea, and this is a douchebag answer, not the answer of a respectable park skier. i thought we learned this after like 70+ pages of the gaper quotes thread, where it just turned into who can come up with the douchiest response to dumb gaper questions. the correct answer is either yes or no

Sweet dude. Thanks! Totally flattering for sure. Really funny that some on here would think someone would WANT to be considered an older head. Shit I was I was 20 and filled with piss and vinegar. Actually I guess if I was like 12 I would want peeps to think I was an "older head".
 
it sounded like in your first post you were trying to establish yourself as an older head, kinda condescending if you ask me. but mad respect for being in your 30s and on ns. still, you seemed confused on why people associate gaper with goggle gap and im answering your "riddle me this" question
 
If you say it "gap-er" then you've never heard it said and have only read it on the Internet, and thus are both a nerd and a huge gaper.
 
No wasn't intent on being condescending at all. Was just making a joke but vibes man vibes. And yeah D.Brown posted a relevant link. As far as peeps saying gapper, you should come out to the east coast. Almost every little A-banger kid says gapper and will tell you it's based on goggle gap. It's whatever but I meant no ill will so....
