What you want to be when you grow up

The best ER nurse around mostly because I hate hearing about people who go to the hospital and have to deal with grumpy, unhappy nurses. If I went back to school i'd like to become an anaesthetist.

Pro Landscaper and contractor. Get my real estate license and flip homes for large amounts of money. Then start buying homes and renting them, then invest in businesses and stocks.

I plan on being a millionaire.

the majority of people in this thread will have shitty jobs and drive shitty cars.

that said I want to make those little models of buildings you see in mudeums and stuff

always wanted to design something big or just anything entrepreneur related. also wanted to open up my own art studio (prolly not going to happen). when i was younger i was positive i would design cars when i grow up and i still would kill to do that(also not going to happen). finally i would be content being a civil/environmental engineer(very likely to happen).

This is a pretty miss/uninformed statement.

yes only 4% of the USAF are pilots.

right now the Air Force is looking for pilots, and the fastest way to become a pilot is to enlist and then get your pilots license and degree through the USAF and apply for OTS(officer training school). Fastest way to get your wings.

/images/flash_video_placeholder.pngI don't know.

But seriously, I would like to be a Geography/Outdoor's class/Media teacher.

Why the Marines? Not trying to criticize or anything, but everyone I've talked to says Marines are awful career wise. Army and and Air Force have a lot better career opportunities. Personally, I'm planning to enlist in the Navy.

I would say USAF and Navy are the best career wise, army in a very close second unless you are infantry.

Marines are the worst because they are basically just combat positions, very few admin and mechanical careers.

but does the person you quoted realize you have to be an officer to fly anything? and a law degree only qualifies you to be a JAG(military attorney) not a pilot.

Agreed, Navy gives them 90% of their non-combat personnel. I wouldn't mind being a corpsman in a Marine unit though.

I want to be an engineer for black diamond. Or I want to invent stuff.

Maybe I'll start a peaceful overthrow of the bourgeosie and implant my own style of pacifist anarcho-syndcalism.

But, most likely I'll finish some college degree and then be poor for a while

I really would love to be in squad 252 of the fdny, my volly fire department that im in has had 4 members of that squad. Also I want to be Army EOD and I ironically start my training for that on 9/11.

the crushed helmet was A member of 252 who lost his life on 9/11

Go to college in a ski town. Ski bum after. Then start a ski company. Also wanna play bass with my band every week. Lots of weed too. Yeah, beer and weed too.

in school for physical therapy now, so i plan on being that. Then i'd like to get either my real estate license or become a certified personal trainer on the side.

go to university next september to study for a masters in chemical engineering, after my degree come back up to where im living now (Aberdeen) and get onto a graduate scheme for an oil company. Once i've gained some experience I'd like to travel the world (Middle east, The Americas, Australasia) with an oil company, climb the corporate ladder and make it somewhere. That's the plan, first step is waiting to see what exam results I get on Tuesday. I'm very blessed growing up in the North East of Scotland with a career plan like that.

This exactly, I really want to either be a Theoretical Physicist, or an Experimental/Applied Physicist, I love science, and I really think it could be a blast.

or

Software designer. I know my way around the computer, and I'm pretty good with programming and stuff (learning in progress)

I mainly want to be a physicist though, also I don't just want to, I plan to be one of these, I do good in school, all advance classes, and 2 years above my math level. Hopefully I get into the profession I want!

Oh no its a great plan, and I would love to own a ski shop as well. I should have quoted just the boutique part, because what is a high end ski company? Because all ski companies make skis in all prices.

I am sure you would sell on3p, but would the older rich cliental you seem to be marketing towards be interested in a ski like that?

and I just reposted that gif you used in the other thread to piss you off :).

How has this not been posted, I'm dissapointed NS.

/images/flash_video_placeholder.pnghahahahah, such a classic song.

I actually want to be a gynecologist. It sounds extremely lesbian, but I don't care what other people think. A gynecologist takes care of one of the most important things in the reproduction process. Without gynecologists, there would be a lot less healthy women and a lot less offspring.

If that doesn't happen though, I'd like to pursue my life in the field of chemistry. I fucking love chemistry.

So basically, i have always wanted to be an astronaut, or go into space.

Currently, i am a geology major astronomy minor at CU Boulder, and what i want to do for the rest of my life is primarily mining asteroids. I know this may sound like a stretch but there is a lot about this that you guys don't know yet. It is a really sprouting industry and i am happy to be so involved in it so early on.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asteroid_mining

^ Wikipedia that can help you guys get a better understanding for what I am hoping to do.

So there is this company that i am beginning to get involved in called planetary resources. They have got some serious backed up investors, cash, and the will do accomplish anything.

Explore their website, its really a super sick thing and I am in deep in this company already somehow, the co-owner knows me by name now.

http://www.planetaryresources.com/

Here is a sick article on the planetary resources guys teaming up with richard branson on the project

I also really aspire to be one of the first humans out of the reach of the moon, and off to mars. I know again this is a big strech but a fully trained geologist fresh out of 6-8 years of schooling, might just be the perfect candidate to send to the red world to study the geology.

On the discovery channel i heard that it would be 2 girls 2 guys, and 2 of them geologists and 2 of them engineers, all 4 with all around knowledge of engineering and piloting to go to mars.

I hope i get to go there!

^oh and after i go to space/ make money as a geologist mining etc. I aspire to become a geology or science teach at the highschool i graduated from in aspen, around the time when im 40, and settle down with a house and kids, and skiing in the winter and climbing and backpacking in the summer. What more can i ask for?

That sounds awesome, but it is not a boutique. it is a dope ski shop.

and @ferrisbueller: I to have the same feeling that after I retire from the air force to use my G.I bill to get a teaching degree and move to the mountains and teach U.S. history. one of my favorite classes and would be dope to teach in the mountains.
