What would you show an exchange student?

So my school is having a German exchange and Im getting a guy for 2 weeks in April.

If you could show someone who's never been to the states before what America has to offer, what would it be??

So far I thinking of going to Six flags, popeyes chicken, diners.....what else

YOu want to take them places that they dont have where they are from. Like dont go to the bar, six flags, etc... I am sure they have all that stuff in their home country. Take them to some land marks we are proud of. Statue of Liberty...Time Square... an American Museum.... Wall St.... Shit man, use your head.
 
like 4 years ago my buddy had a German exchange student stay with him while her host family went away. (about 2 weeks)

she was A not blond (WTF) B her name was "Luana" (dont ask me how i remember that) and C was not that attractive.

what the hell Germany, your persona as a country was RUINED for me. lol
 
show her mexico, show her your gun collection, how to use said gun collection and smoke some made bud man, yea broha sick man yeaaaa
 
we had a exchange student in high school who's name was porn (no joke)...we nominated him for everything just so the school would be forced to say porn lulz.

he made half court shot- "PORN FROM DOWNTOWN"
^maybe you had to be there but it was funneh.

show him/her a good time. concerts/parties, something to make them come back.
 
i cant think of a whole lot....try to go back to Germany with him; your license works there, they have the autobahn, drinking at age 16, and the alps....oh and Amsterdam isn't to far away. You cant go wrong
 
take him to stuff you like, not turrist shit.

i have hosted 9 exchange students. most of which stayed for at least 6 months to a year.

from my experience, exchange students really just do what you normally do. i mean, yeah show him some sites, give em a tour of the city etc...

but on the real, just bring him along when you kickit with your friends/parties etc...

introduce him to people
 
heres what you do. If he's a good looking dude, use his foreign-ness to get an orgy cookin', then reap the benefits. ("this is my freind niko, he's russian." *Sound of girls giggling at attractive russian guy* "vould you ladies like to come back to our place?" *orgy!*)
 
i hosted a german guy when i was a junior in high school. he stayed for a year, and he's pretty much like my brother now. i went and lived with him in germany for 2 months the summer after i graduated and it was a killer time. he was also here over winter break for 3 weeks skiing with us and hanging out.

i recommend getting students. you meet a lot of cool/interesting people and learn a shit-ton about their cultures and how they live. you also have a place to stay if you are ever in their area haha
 
40s, seriously, I have a friend from new zealand and he had never seen 40s before and now understands what america is all about.

redneck shit like confederate flags, really only applies to those in the deep south.

guns-go to walmart and look at the gun selection(only works for people from countries with gun control)

go the the ghetto. Im in atlanta, so we have real shit here. This only applies to cities with real ghettos, like detriot, flint mi, east st louis, atl, dc, chicago, la, etc so the people in montana and utah and shit miss out.

i took my french friend wheelin and she pretty much thought it was the best thing ever, over there they just dont have the legitimate backwoods lifestyle at all, so it seems very rad to em.
 
Beer pong, a real american party and just the american culture stuff. Just introduce him to heaps of people, let him make friends and connections.
 
hahahah my friends bf is from england and when he moved here, i took him to walmart, and he filmed it, and some woman was liek PPSSST, STOP THEY'LL THROW YOU OUT!

ash him if there's anything he wants to see. but really, think about it, is america really represented by fast food and chain stores? i mean, mostly yes, but show him something a little more impressive, little town secrets kinda stuff.
 
Show him the dumb stuff like popeys and six flags but also make sure he goes back to germany with a good opinion of the states. Mostly take him out with your friends and have a good time.
 
hahahahahahahhahahaha @ showing him an "american party" the exchange kids laugh at how we party....if anything we should be exchange students and they should teach us how to party.

Like big cities like new york and shit. And how to have a good time ofcourse! There's a foreign exchange at our school and we take him skiing and partying all the time!

Weed in Denmark is the worst crap compared to the American stuff (im from denmark and spend a year as an exchange student)
 
yeah, im hosting one from switzerland right now, and he can party way harder than me and most of my friends. but, he had never really been to house parties, just like clubs and stuff.

so yes, show him all the usually tourist stuff, but include him in your everyday lifestyle. hang out with friends, go places whatever. and try to learn some german, it always makes for a good time.
