What would you guys choose?? Kung Fujas, MSP, or ARV?

Its a tough life deciding on what skis to buy. Looking at K2 Kung Fujas, in 179, the 4frnt MSP , 181's or the ARV in 181. I ride everything, not so much park, but pow, groomers, jibs, im 5'11" 195lbs. Ive decided and have jesters with already to put on them, but honestly, which ski would you buy? I want it to ski switch good, and k2 has the new sidecut thing goin on with these ones, and MSP's are dual sidecut. I want to know how this affects them skiing everything. thanks

in my opinion, you can't go wrong with anyof them. I've ridden the ARV's haven't ridden the MSP and was lucky enough to ride the Kung Fujas last year. The Fujas is probably the lightest, but not by much. You really can't go wrong though with any of them. If you're really unsure then you can always go by graphics, but only for a last resort.

i would go with the ARV;

a classic all montain ski and Armada really stepped it up this year. ive riddin the Kung FUs and the Arvs and the arvs kicked ass. REally pimp graphics to

Definetly between the Kung Fujas and Arv but i would go with the Kung Fujas... rerally nice graphics this year..

Unless you like a stiff ski, so many people on the site dont seem to like msps but for those of us, like myself, who like stiffer skis msps rock, i love my pair and personally consider them the best all mountain ski on the market

the kung fujas is only 200 grams more per pair compared to silencers, so they arent that heavy, a little bit more heavy than a normal pure park ski, but i think their width and awesomeness is worth it. its like maybe pipe cleaner weight. (i picked up pipe cleaners and arv's next to them and the kung fujas seemed lighter) its not a light ski, but its not a heavy ski, and it should be extremely fun in the park.

im getting the kung fujas in 2 days, hopefully they arent too soft i only weigh like 135, i wanna still be able to butter.

are u looking for a soft ski or a stiffer ski...

like said earlier...the MSP is going to give you a stiffer flex.

-with this stiffer flex, when u are chargin on the groomers at mach 10 you will appreciate the extra stability...you will minimized chatter and will be able to hold that edge better than the arv when u are skiing it hard...however you will giving up some playfullness if you go with the stiffer ski; MSP.

with the ARV, you get a nice fat soft ski.

-this ski is going to be super playful and with that butter soft shovel you will slay any soft snow u encounter...

that being said when u do ski the ARV hard, and want to have something under your feet will skiing mach 10, you wont have it.

if i were you i would leave more towards the MSP since you are a heavier guy, meaning you have alot more power to make the ski do what u want. It wont wash out on you as much as the ARV either beacsue of the flex, and its still soft enough to fucking pwn and pow you come into contact with.

if you are really into graphics as well, the MSP is a pretty slick lookin ski, but then again so is the ARV.

good luck, PM with any questions.

if u like jibbing and pow, i think the arv or Fujas' would be better. theyr both wider than the msp, and the msp is really stiff, not a lot of fun, but a good all-round ski, nothing special

I think I'd get Kung Fujas, but any of them would be sick. Scott Punishers or Volkl Bridges might be good options too.

I flexed them in a shop today, they are on the softer side of medium, if that makes sense. You will be able to butter.

As far as the OP, like everyone else said you really can't go wrong. I have 06/07 ARVs, the super soft ones, and I love them. They are a blast everywhere, but, like luc[ifer] said they get very choppy when you are charging.

what do you think about he weight? i picked them up and they seemed pretty light. not like super feather light park ski's. but they seemed like lighter than pe's and about anthem weight.

It wasn't something that I was paying attention to, but I can tell you that I when I picked them up I wasn't like "Oh shit these are heavy". I had one Kung Fujas and one ARV and the ARV was definitely lighter, if that helps.

arvs would be great for everything except charging.
maybe surface watchlifes would be a good choice for you.
otherwise the arv seems like a solid choice.

i checked out the kung fujas in a store... they are really soft

did anyone else notice that core center = true center on them too?

Damn, Didnt think this many people would reply so fast. So i held the MSP and the Kung Fujas today side by side, pretty close in weight. The fujas was a lot softer. we dont have no Armada dealer up here in Alaska yet so i cant compare what i saw today. I think i made my mind up on those Fuj's though. Totally going for them, the MSP has the damn near same dimensions and sidecut that my 07 foils had (which def. sucked for chargin hard, got chattery and squirly all the time) and those just didnt ski switch all that great. Besides the 4frnt dealer up here is trying to rape a dude up here. How the hell is a MSP gonna cost me 749 bucks??? thats kinda big cash when the retail isnt that much. I dont get how they want to mount true center either, why does 4frnt do that?? anyways, gettin the Fuj's in the morn, mounting my jesters at +5 and callin that shit a day

Thanks for all the replies
