What would you get?

So my friend is getting new skis soon- hes new to freestyle skiing wants something cheap. Hes tall and skis pretty agressively. He wants elans cuz he can get them through our ski hill cheap. Havent really heard anything good about elans twins- so im trying to talk him out of it. I need a cheap good ski to change his mind.

elans are not bad for freestyle because they are pretty stiff. but for freeride, i would go with something like k2 silencer or dynastar tm's.
