What would you do?

(not for park) you have 2 options. The first ski is a great fit for your current skiing and ability level. It will 1000% unlock a lot of confidence and ability but you likely won’t be progressing to another world on this ski which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. On the other hand the second ski doesn’t fit your current skiing nearly as well as the first but it’s perfect for the skiing you hope to be doing one day. it’s going to be a while until you actually need this ski but the ceiling is way higher than the first option. which one are you buying? lmk, i need help deciding for myself.

First option is better but what skis are you looking at? Explain your situation for optimized answers.

i don’t really want to say the skis. i don’t want people to base their answer off that. i just want to hear their philosophy.

i want your choice first. i don’t want peoples opinions affected by the exact skis i’m deciding on. i just want to know your philosophy.

Id buy the first ski, and then later buy the second one. Im interested tho in what you are trying to progress, is this like a hard metal charger for the second ski?

both powder skis in the 110 range, the first is much more of a fun all mountain ski while the second one is a more playful big mountain charger that still does fine for all mountain but can be to much ski at times. (i just demoed the second ski today so ig i can be more precise, just going off reviews for the first ski)

What do you have in your quiver? where do you ski?

i have head oblivion 94s for the park and i have icelantic pioneer 96s for a super reliable all mountain ski. i’m getting one of the skis in question because i’m moving to colorado next year from chicago. obviously had no need for a pow ski in chicago.

Id go for the first ski, you really don't need a stiff charger for CO and softer skis help you progress to someone who can build better technique then a stiffer ski. Think about landing cliffs on a soft ski vs a strong tailed ski. Soft skis you have to land bolts over the boots, stiff skis you can kinda land backseat.

my experience here, and this will be extremes, but i spent like 80 days last year skiing and sending at alta on a vishnu wide. shit was fun as fuck and made me a better skier. When i ski my friends sender free, its just easy mode, bust through anything and land how i want. The confidence and skills i gained from skiing something totally not meant for how it was supposed to be skied transferred over.

Stoked to hear I wasn’t the only one spending time on Wides last season. Caught some flack from the homies but I thought they were fun as fuck. Dare I say reminiscent of a Hellbent…

You've built too much tension what are the skis

Both are great options, DW is sick

considering what ppl have said here i’m gana go death wish. it can still handle basically anything i realistically throw at it even if it may not be as happy as the sender while doing it.

I have a friend who is a great skier, he rides the deathwish and hits big shit. You'll be just fine on the DW
