i would build a contraption from my skis that would shoot a torpido around the nearest pole and use my super power strength to pull the chair forowrd to the top

all in a days work
 
My dad got stuck on a lift at Grand Targhee a decade ago when a new lift operator turned the lift off for the night while my dad was still on. After waiting for four hours, he kicked off his boots and climbed hand over hand along the cable to the tower and went down the ladder. And then as he was putting on his boots and skis, patrol showed up looking for him.
 
i would drink some tea and eat some krumpets, then i would smoke some bowls. then i would see how cold it was and how high up i was. i would hope i would stop right next to a tower and i could just go down the ladder on the tower. i would rather breake my legs than die. if its super cold you will die for sure
 
i was stuck on a lift about 40feet up for about 2 hours at the remarkables, new zealand...

me and my mates got ready to jump, and then they came and winched us down..
 
smoke that shit. fall asleep. wake up the next morning, make the hill give me a free pass and ski the next morning after making them buy me breakfast of course.
 
ooo take your skis off drop on then put the other over the wire. slide down the cable till u get to a pole, butdont go down the cable too fast. or id jump depending on how high up
 
YOU DONT FALL INTO THE HILL U DROP STRAIGHT DOWN IT LOOKS ALOT SMALLER WITH THE RISE INFRONT OF U. SO ADD LIKE 10 FEET TO WHAT YOU THINK...NOW TRY HOPE U LIKE VIDEO GAMES.
 
your right i once jumped off the lift, i thought it was like 10 feet but it was defintatley alot more, like 25. i fell on my face and got knocked unconcious
 
i would just jump and wait for that fucking bernhadiner with the alkohol around the neck!
 
some of the funiest shit iv read all day, but if it was like 25-30 feet id jump, if not it pull some like socom shit n slide down the cable to the tower
 
i think i made it sound a bit more impressive than it actually was. He was only 7 or 8 feet from the lift tower. Which is still sketchy, but i mean he wasn't pulling a James Bond swinging along the cable for 200 feet.
 
have you guys ever seen them pull out the stunt bags?!?!

i've seen this twice, once on a t-bar this guy i know grabbed the bar and it got stuck in the socket at the cable. he got launched up and just like sat on the end of the bar! the lifties all went mental and like 15 mins later this big inflatable crash bag came out and he jumped down.

seen a similar kinda thing on a chair lift but they only let about half the people use it. it would have been so sketch because of how steep the hill was for the other ppl. dunno what everyone else did i got bored watching!

there's some spots i'd be up for jumping not many though. there's a couple of well known up and over lifts in europe were people used to jump of at the top so they could ski the bowl down. obviously these lifts have been made bigger to stop me doing it!
 
my brother made a lift stop once, and they couldnt get it running again. so they had to throw a rope up to the people and billet them down. he was in 2nd grade i think.
 
jump if its not to high, climb down a pole if its not to far away, or just sit there and be bored

my friend got stuck on one for like an hour and it was rlly cold out but everyone started playing games(i spy and stuff like that) and started singing songs!!!!!!

whenever i get stuck on a lift next to one of the poles, i try to see how many times i can hit it with my pole before it starts going again...but id probably get tired of it after a while
 
one of my buddys jumped off he lift as a bet for a poutine and landed it and rode away then the ski partol found him and took his seasons pass away and booted him for the year, but he was happy he got his $7.50 poutine. but lost his $400 pass.
 
I've never been skiing out East but wouldn't you be bomb dropping onto ice if it was that cold?
 
yeaa our resort gets pretty god damn fucking cold. the other day, i was skiing at noon and it was -1 in the sun. fucking cold my man. if i was there over night, itd probably get down to -10 at least. id jump it. if i broke my legs, i could at least slide down to warmthness. haha. but yea man, if you stop movin at night, your fucked.
 
I would swing the chair, bounce the cable off the tower, and arrive on the ground in style. And then get mad bitches.
