What would you ask a pro, or someone in the industry?

I'm starting a senior project soon making a documentary on skiing- I was just wondering what you guys would wanna ask a pro athlete or someone such as a coach or a ski-maker, to help me get an idea of where I wanna take the movie. Thanks a bunch! and K+ will be rewarded...ha

maybe you should pick something else to do if you don't even know what your "documentary" will be on or how you're even going to get those people on camera for interviews.... sounds like you're going to get in way over your head.

do you ever just not want to get out of bed and ski?
what's the coolest part of getting paid to ski - that the general public and fans DON'T get to see?
How did you handle all of the nay-sayers and people who told you that you couldn't make a living skiing?
How did it feel the first time your sponsors gave you a boat load of free gear?

he's probably just trying to get a feeler for where the movie idea could go.
for me, i'd like to know what the personal process was for the skier to get to where they are today. this tells a story. you could focus on the entire process of a few individuals, or one or two aspects of the process from a broader group of people.

Do you feel a big difference skiing now (a professional) as you did when you were coming up in the sport? (looking up to professionals)

When you look at the progression of skiing currently technology and trick-wise, do you see the sport continuing to grow exponentially or do you see a potential dead end?

Who did you look up to as you were growing up?

What were your biggest struggles achieving your position, whether it be professional skier, rep, ski designer etc?

Is there ever a point where there is too much pressure getting at your from the fans, sponsors, etc. to perform well and you don't think you can/ don't want to?

How do you think your skiing life would be like if you had never gotten sponsored and still were an undiscovered skier? would it change who you are today?

are you set for retirement?do you have the education to back you up if you get a career ending injury?do you vote in national elections?what's your single most favorite memory from skiing?(ooh that's gonna be hard)What's your opinion on the current crisis in the middle east?ya know ya just gotta get a feel for 'em

asking pros has been done before and its boring. theyve all made it and their answers are all the same.
ask ams who havent made it yet and people who failed or had their dreams crushed. thats more interesting and maybe youll actually find out what the industry is really like, and not get the glorified glamed up version every pro tells

I hear that one of my friends is a pro. do you have any friends who are pro?

do they dress like a bag of skittles?

Can you backflip?

Can i have your phone number (no homo)

can i sleep with you? (Yes homo (unless girl))
