the problem with astroturf is you don't have much turning or carving ability. There would be no shortage of rug burns. Very interesting idea though.

are you talking about real dryslope/snowflex material, or just regular turf. Snowflex etc would work, maybe not great, but they do have them in the uk and other parts of the world. Turf however, would not work, theres no way you could maintain any speed even if your drop in ramp was humongous.
