My parents told me to try and think about what industry or type of business would be big by the time i graduate college which would be class of 2019 so i can figure out what to major in. An example would be today marketing is a huge thing to get into because companies have to give creative ways to draw a crowd to there product and with growing technology people can be more easily influenced toward a product. So what do you guys think will be a big thing in the next 5-10 years?

Solar power and wind energy will become even bigger then it is now, mark my words.................................

and dildos............

Id be an engineering of making good threads I heard if you make a good one then people will like you and pretty much hop on your dick. But das jus me

its really hard to predict whats going to be big, except dildos, theyre pointless if theyre small, so just pick a general field and move into a speciality as it grows

alternative energy engineering/research

anything medical, especially geriatrics/long term care

computer science/engineering

besides dildos?botanists entering the marijuana business. once it's legalized nationwide, the demand for botanists to maintain and develop new strains is gonna enormous. that would literally be a dream of a job too

dildoes that double as weed pipes-- that way people can say they're smoking pole and be literal.

major in something you like that you can make a career out of. dont just go into engineering or something because of job prospects afterwards, and hate the whole learning experience.

I'd also like to post a non-dildo related comment.

Guessing by from what's happening today, 3D printers will be in every home (Already have one at my school), nuclear war, robotics getting more attention, idk other shit

That being said, don't pick a useless major you enjoy and expect to be employed and fulfilled afterwards. 4 years < your whole life. Find something that keeps doors open, even if it sucks a bit. Having a valuable degree is more likely to allow you to work your way into your dream job, even if they aren't 100% related. Or at the very least keep you out of working at McDonalds, because those jobs might soon pay more than entry level jobs in marketing, for example.
