What were you afraid of as a kid?

I was afraid and will always be afraid of spiders. Other insects dont freak me out but spiders just scare the shit out of me. I work at a summer camp which consists of living in a shitty tent for 10 weeks. One night I felt something right above my face so I turned my light on and a huge black widow was hanging there right in front me. Needless to say I ran the fuck out there and continued to run for about 100 yards. Now I will always hate spiders
 
velociraptors, aliens (watching x-files at age 8 fucked me over, still to this day i am.)and tremors. ya know, from the kevin bacon movie.

A small patch of forest near my summer cabin during the dark. I ran for my life through it every time thinking an alien or a bear called Akakabuto would kill me.

Also, well, gypsies. They spoke so weird, dressed weird and acted weird.
 
It was posted up above me somewhere, but Aliens. Terrified to this day still, stupid father would let me watch what ever I want when I was a little tyke and decided that I was gonna watch the XFiles one day
 
getting my ankles slashed from under my car, anything to do with achilles tendons, they scare the fuck out of me.

and after watching the disney movie "don't look under your bed", I was afraid of the boogey-man for like 6 years. shit, I'm still a little scared of him.
 
I had this really tall shelf that the head of my bed went under. I was afraid it would fall sometime in the middle of the night and crush me (it was just a wire shelf). So I would roll up in a ball and sleep that way, so it would fall past my feet.
 
hahaha! my brother used to be TERRIFIED he would have nightmares about them every single night and cry hysterically
 
The window in my old bedroom...Thought I saw a guy in it one night and it freaked the fuck out of me. Started sleeping downstairs on a couch and never went back and haven't slept in that room in at least 10 years.
 
dude im still paranoid about my house burning down. every time i go away for a few days i get nervous coming home because i didnt want my skis and all my stuff to burn
 
sharks. my dad talked me into watching jaws as a little kid, and i wouldnt go more than 10 feet from the beach on vacation. i got over it though
 
just to make some people cry
