What was the worse crash...Dumont? THall? Derek Spong?

EXACTLY

For me, Dumont's would be the absolute worst because of the amount of time he spent in the air...thinking to himself just how boned he was, pure abject terror and adrenaline coursing through his veins. This thought alone terrifies me. Spong probably realized halfway through his jump he was going to hit the wall, whereas, with Dumont he knew the instant he went off the booter that he was fucked, and flapping his arms and kicking his legs as hard as he could wasn't even going to come close to saving his ass.

:shudder:

every time i see spong's crash i honestly shake and feel almost nauseous. tanner and simon's aren't quite as bad for me but shit, stil pretty bad. spong's affects me the most, though.

I would have to say T-Hall because I broke my kneecap and that was the most painfull injury I have had in a long laundry list of most ski injuries and broken bones and while sitting in the ER the other day I was talking to the DR and Nurse about most painfull injuries and I said Patela (kneecap) and I was corrected by both of them who said yea but HEELS are the worst and most painfull thing to break!!! SO T - HALL wins in my book!

they all were horrible, but dumonts and spongs were horrible. dumonts was ridicudlous cuz he slammed on flat ground moving fast and falling from a good distance, but then spong nailed a solid wall going really fast and almost died. so its hard to say, spong came closer to dying so definetly him. i havent seen corduroy for about 2 months, but didnt spong nail the a metal letter 2?

Derek Spongs was definatly the worst. Dumonts was really bad but spongs was probably the worst crash I've ever seen

Derek Spong's crash was the worst most def, he split 2 wall of his aorta which is right next to the heart and it only takes about 5 seconds to die from tht.

Spongs, he hit the wal and came to a complete stop, dumonts was bad but he bounced so the force was less then spongs

no. dumont overshot an 80 foot table, and fell the equivelent of 10 stories to baisically flat early morning ice, as he hit that jump around 7am. spong cased a 90 foot gap into a wall.spong had worse injuries, because the dumont is a ripped bastard. dumonts was worse.

dont get me wron all of those crashes must have fucking sucked dumonts and spongs seem scarier first cause they were guinea pigging them and second they were doing straight airs and could see they were going to eat shit the whole time i vote all

id say 1. derek, 2. tie wilson (yearbook) and dumont

tanner migh not even make my top 5, eric pollard breaking his back was way scary, you watch that, then you see him just slide down on his back, only moving his legs. tanner's was really dramatic with the ragdolling, but having had falls where i tomahawked down the mountain, its not as scarey as it looks (the tomahawking part)

worst post ever. those might be the worst feeling breaks bone wise, but I am pretty sure tearing your aorta and nearly dying would probably be worse than breaking some bones in your legs.

1.) spong

2.) wilson

no question...

both just bombed into hard packed snow

wilson just had the "luck" that he was going legs first

ummm.....false. they had exaggerated thoughts of what happened, and said he shouldn't be alive based on that.

DEREK SPONG WAS GIVEN A 4% CHANCE OF SURVIVAL! can anyone fathom this?

In teddy bear crisis right after the footage of Dumont crashing it shows him being helped onto a snowmobile. He's standing unless there was some other cripple wrapped up in Jon Olsson's coat on the landing, or 200 feet past it I should say.

no is a miracle derek lived, he burst one of hit main arteries near his heart and had to have someone pump the blood manualy for him other wise he would have been dead in minutes.

im pretty sure tanners was nothing compared to dumonts or spongs, injury wise tho..... his took a pretty long recovery
