What video camera?

They use a sony vx2100 and a panisonic ag-dvx100. And what kind of filming experience do you have and are you trying to film you friends and mess around or try to make legit edits, movies, etc?
 
no you shouldnt in order to use the RED you need some rediculous skills and computer power im sick of everyone telling people to buy RED cameras they arent good unless you know waht youre doing
 
Haha, you can't take those guys seriously. Relax... they're obviously joking, and even if the guy asking about a camera were to look at a RED camera, they would quickly notice that it's a $20,000. Noone splashes out on a $20,000 camera unless they know what they're doing. Or they're total rich ass dumbfucks.

If he's got quite a bit of experience with cameras I'd definitely recommend the GL2.

If you're in North America, Stepdown Productions is selling a used one with accessories for $1000 (2 lenses, mic, etc), your buddy might be interested in that.
