I have a dilemma, i am getting a jacket for christmas, but im not 100% sure which one to get. I really want an oakley hotplate jacket, but its been really hard to find a white one in ottawa and they are a bit pricy, I was also thinking about the Synchro Helly Hansen and that Ripcurl jacket steele spence wears in the front line, which would you guys choose?

What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?

i would get the helly hansen they look cool and theyre the best coats

if u get a hotplate jacket i will get an xbox...bitch..

TRY EVERYTHING EVEN IF IT MEANS, KICKING YOUR OWN ASS

Have you been down to T&L? My buddy bought a HH jacket there two weekends ago for $270 which is a great price. I'm unsure of the model, but it looks really good, red and black. It's got 5,000 PPM water proofing.

I saved Latin, what did you do?

NO! enough of the gore-tex and glorified nylon era...don't get those damn oakley jackets or helly hansen or anything...what you really need is something from Cloudveil, Black Diamond, or Salomon...all these companies make a Soft Technical jacket that is based on the best fabric in the world....Schoeller dynamic fabric...this stuff is windproof, waterproof, has a ridicoulous amount of stretchability, is super warm, and is super light and NON RESTRICTIVE- and it is way more form fitting than gore-tex- this stuff is awesome! now don't get me wrong...HH and Oakley definitely make awesome apparel...but this is where the future of technical outerwear is...i have the Salomon STL-552 jacket, and it is the shit...super warm, and aside from having the Schoeller outer layer, the inside is a fleec insulating layer, as well as another windproofing layer. add a base layer to this along with a small fleece and this combo will stand up to the coldest and extreme weather conditions. Although this fabric and these jackets are extremely nice, they will set you back about 300-400 bucks....but it's worth it.

go for a rip curl exit jacket.. i got one and it so warm and comfy. i love it

down filled jackets are way too overrated!

WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR'S?

I wouldn't say HH is cheap, they're pretty damn expensive actually. But damn nice

I bought my big helly henson off of Smiley Nesbit this summer at camp. I paid like 60$, and its one decent coat.

I have the incubator and it is the most comfortable jacket in the world. But those Cloudveil jackets are the shit too. You can hold water with the jacket and it wont leak through. But i think theyre more expensive than any of the other jackets on this post.

get the helly hansen phonic or cortex jacket

Go to MEC! THey can hook you up with a great jacket for a reasonable price! I just bought a Ride Puffy jacket for like 125$, super warm, functional and pretty nice looking. However, when ever I wear it I feel ghetto and have to listen to hiphop! Word!

i agree with what that guy said about the cloudveil jackets, they are soooo comfortable. softshell is the future.

yeah dude get a life jacket, o'boy makes a great product. but for real, the hotplate is over rated along with every other down filled pos there is on the market. there sutable for alaska durind a nuclear winter, if you catch my drift. get bonfire or sessions. sessions makes the most durable shit on the planet. you can't go wrong with sessions.

i may sound like a commercial, but its the truth. take a look at all the backcountry skiers these days and they'll tell you that a softshell takes care of everything, from a waterproof jacket to keeping you warm as hell..but they're super expensive...glad i have a salomon hookup card!

iv,e got the hotplate and its sick. its like putting on a pillow, super soft, tons of features, and about two million pockets, try and get it through a pro-form, its cheaper, someone always has hookups. Don't get any other jacket.
