what type of epoxy to use?

hey, i have a small gouge in my ski, its not core deep but enough to make me want to epoxy it, its on the top, there are 2 types of epoxy at my local home depot, this clear kind in a syringe, its 2 syringes and its 2 openings close to together so the compound can mix. and then they have this putty stuff, u mix the putty together and put in gash. . .i got the putty stuff and put it in the gash, should i go back and put the clear epoxy thats looks more like superglue overtop encase i used the wrong stuff?

the 2 tube stuff is 2 part apoxy. depends on what kind you get. some of it is really shitty and cheap and will crack apart soon as you hit the cold. some stuff will stick longer then others. if you can get your hands on some good 2 part apoxy it's a good idea, but the good shit is super expensive.

 
What would really be nice is if you got some fiberglass mixture that they use to repair boats....it's called west Marine. Also, you can find a puddy like epoxy stick...also at a marine store. But if you just want to cover it up and don't really care too much about how it looks, how long it lasts...etc., just use your best judgement on glues....whatever you think would work the best. The 24 hr 2part epoxy is better than the 5 minute shit.

 
at the time of the post. . i had alread put some marine fiberglass type epoxy in my skis and it was curing. i just posted the topic cause i was scared i got the wrong stuff. . .it worked great, i sand it down so it was flush with topsheet and painted it black. .i have mad trix. thanks for confirming that i got the right stuff. my putty was a crazy 2 part, like it was a roll of the putty and the second part was in the center of the roll

and u just cut putty from the roll but meading it with your fingers activated it.
