doberman. for sure. they're super nice they just have a bad reputation, they have short hair which is nice, they're really energetic and playful and because of their bad reputation no body will ever mess with you even if its the nicest dog ever.

if you like Alaskan Malamutes also consider the siberian husky, it is a little smaller than the malamute. my favorite dog, they are super nice and loyal and just all around badass!

Don't even think about getting a husky/malamute unless you know for sure you will always be able to get it out to run a ton every single day. If you can't give them the exercise they need they will be miserable and cause a ton of problems. Definitely go for a rescue dog though, unless there's a really good reason you need a specific breed you can't find in a shelter. I just don't understand how anyone who loves dogs can pay large sums of money to a breeder when there are dogs dying constantly in the shelters. Border collies can be pretty sick. Our current dog kicks ass and he's a german shepherd, rottweiler and terrier mix.

I'd definitely go with a Labrador. They are the chillest most mild mannered dogs ever, but they're also practical.

And how can you say no to this little bastard??

My brother had a huskie, it was always digging holes in our yard and running away; they're smart but hard to take care of because they're very energetic

get a lab, thats what I have and hes a good dog

i have an austrailan shepard. they are very smart dogs,a and pretty easy to rain. but the only thing is u get smart remarks about their tail (it is more like a stub).

idk, my friend has this dog and they are call chesapeake bay retriever for a reason...they are ALWAYS in the water, which means the stick a lot of the time. my friend has one of these and has to give it a bath like once a week.

word, I have a red setter (english/irish cross bred in the 50's for its hunting capability) and he's by far the best dog I've ever had. he is incredibly affectionate, obedient, and intelligent. doesn't shed, doesn't even have bad breath. never does a thing wrong, and I can't walk him without someone commenting on how beautiful he is.

his name is logan, and he is the pinnacle of canine excellence, he turns heads everywhere he goes. he constantly strikes amazing poses while on walks.

I hope to get an english setter one day.

seriously. help out an animal that will be put down if no one adopts it. you can get puppies there so that they grow up with you and dont have to et used to you when theyre a few years old. we got my dog from there adn shes the shit, shes like a weinerdog/lab combo. itll make you feel all nice inside wehn you know you saved a life, and some purebred will always have a home, no ones gonna put down a purebred, theyre worth wayy too much.

the obvious choice here is a beagle, just let him out alot to run around, so he doesnt get fat...mine is in pretty good shape, but make sure u let him out in a fenced in area or it will most likely run away sniffing out a meth lab or something

hes right. ive had german sheperds my whole life and they are the most amazing dogs. they are super smart too. i have a long haired sheperd right now and hes awesome:

Huskies are beautiful but like every type of dog they have issues. I know both of the huskies my grandparents had ended up with hip problems and then cancer. I love big fluffy dogs, chesapeake retrievers are pretty sweet, small fluffy dogs, mountain dogs, australian shepards are really pretty I love dogs!

i suggest you get a dog with control of his back legs.

golden retreiver dude. they are awesome, playful. and have back legs.
