Seeing as how i hit the gym to kill time a lot now, i was wondering waht kinds of muscle groups you should work out for park? Abs? obliques? thighs?

what kinds of exercises do you recommend?

umm probably any core workout and it also depends on if your pipe rail or jumps... also if you have free weights do hangcleans and military press

yeah, i have no upper muscle at all haha, thats probably why i play soccer. but im starting to bench in PE at school and stuff, i dono i just try to have fun when im doing something that involves training for the ski season, like go tramping, but at the same time that doesnt help you much in being muscular i geuss

quads and hammys. quads hold your knees together and if you dont work your hamstrings and bulk your quads up it will be very easy to pull or strain your hamstring

If all you did were squats, lunges, sit-ups and pull-ups you would be pretty well off. Core strength is definitely what people underestimate the most, though.

definitely core strength is huge. abs and back, obliques, etc.

just make yourself injury-proof by doing multiple-muscle group workouts that strengthen your joints and core strength.

and fucking STRETCH.

Definatley do a lot on the lower body, mainly abs and thighs. Do a little bit just to balance yourself out and injury decrease on your upper body, but don't try to bulk up.

get to be really flexable.that helps with getting those hard to reach grabs and gives you more control.also just get core strengh so you dont get hurt so bad when you fall.

bo you probably play soccer cuz your gay lol i'mjust kidding with you... but for real you should play footbal get some upper body strength and get in shape for skiing, it helps with flexibility handplants and getting greater momentum

Just doing my workout. Tuesday's arms and back.

Oh, it's the deep burn! Oh, it's so deep. I can barely lift my right

arm 'cause I did so many. I don't know if you heard me counting.

I did over 1000. You have your ubulus muscle that connects

to the upper dorsinus.

It's boring, but it's part of my life. I'm just gonna grab this shirt,

if you don't mind.

Just watch out for the guns.

They'll get you.

You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.

On a serious note, rock the core area. Abs and back muscles. this will help with spins, and a lot with balance. And work your legs for power and strength. Squats would be great in this area.

I tend just to jog and stuff, work hard so I can handle skiing all day erry day (for the times I can do that). Ya know just being in shape and making sure you can handle lots of skiing.

core strength is definitely key, the deep musculature in your upper body is what stabilizes the rest of your body and will help prevent from straining and injure other muscles/body parts. of course it's important to have strong legs - lift weights and vary your exercising. and this can't be stressed enough - stretch!!

here's a link with tons of good exercises, it's in norwegian though, but i'll put a link in here too with translation from norwegian to english (just make sure you click "fra norsk"(from norwegian)). there's a video enclosed with every exercise that shows how to do them, so you don't have to read the instruction. on the left side are the links to the different genres of exercises ("stabiliering/styrke", "koordinasjon" etc)

I agree with that part about the shoulders.

Stronger muscles around joints helps stabalize the joint and help prevent injury.

you shit in the fridge and you ate the whole wheel of of cheese?, i'm not even mad thats amazing!

1. Play xbox 360 during all free time

2. Consume large amounts of alcohol as many nights a week as you can

3. Eat shitty caf food.

4. Play more xbox 360.

Balance Board. Abs. Abs. Abs. Arms for the springtime when you rock that jersey. Glutes, quads, hamstrings, and explosiveness (hang/power cleans). Make sure all your workouts are high rep, low weight.

core definately, and legs obviously.  you don;t even have to go to the gym.  i play guitar hero while on my balance board, talk about concenration

if you really wanna get your legs in shape. squats and power runners. holy shit power runners will kick your ass

for legs, take squats and lunges and combine them.  voila, squat lunges.  talk about pain

oh and a good exercise/ test of strength and balance:

stand on one leg, stick your other leg straight out. now squat down on your one leg as far as you can.

try it 10 reps for each leg no weight, then 8 reps with 25 pounds, then 5 reps with a 45 lb plate. all quads

i'm going to say work everything. you'll be better balanced as a whole. it's good to focus on your core and legs or whatever, but be sure to do upper body too. you probably know that though.

If you have access to a lap pool, I would say get some swimming in.

I turned into a chunk in college and did this to get back in shape. I swim 1 mile (70 lengths) 3 days a week and it really has done wonders for me. You get really lean and it is super low stress. So you are not putting unneeded pressure on your joints. When I get home I also do 10 minute wall sit sets and then stretch a bit.

My school is sick they have so many classes where you work out and learn how to do it right. im taking and extreme sports condtioning class right now. They also have a snowsports off season training class. Perfect getting you in shape for ski season. You can get in damn good shape just by taking classes.

Core is SO important.

And do a lot of leg strengthening stuff because tearing your acl sucks, and the stronger your muscles are, the less likely you'll tear it.

I'd say train for flexibility and balance, as well as core strength and of course throughout the legs, esp. fine tuning ankles, knees, etc for movement

tkae that a step further. grab a bosu ball, and do one legged squats like you were describing. Ultimate test of balance and strength, so good for your knee joint as well, great for injury protection. if you get bored with that balance with your eyes closed.

take a 20 pound dumbbell in each hand and do lunges and squats

ab strength is nice too, but squats and lunges work all your leg and lower core back muscles

better start working out for the slammer instead. arms to protect yourself in fights, gluts to protect your ass from raping.

I SUGGEST YOU JUMP ON THE ROWING MACHINE BRO. ITS THE MOST COMPLETE WORKOUT YOU CAN DO. IT EXERCISES THE LEGS AND CORE MOSTLY, BUT ALMOST EVERY MUSCLE IN YOUR BODY IS GETTING A WORKOUT. I DID COMPETITIVE ROWING FOR A YEAR AND IT HELPED ME OUT SO MUCH
