What to use to remove grease/sticky shit on bottom of my ski?

I found some grease stuck to my ski after skating through the base area and I scraped most of it off but it still has a sticky resin stuck to the base of my ski. What can I use to remove it and not damage the base at all? Thanks for the info

Hydrocarbon solvent. Don't blow yourself up, and that's probably not good for your bases either.

As said above, just wax them. Spend a bit longer at the beginning though. A good metal brush and some base cleaner should help a lot. If in doubt base grind.

waxing over it isn't going to remove the grease.. wax comes off after a couple days anyway. Need to find something to remove it without ruining base. I've heard if you screw it up you won't be able to hold wax anymore. the shit stuck to my ski is like oil/grease

for those of you who are curious I ended up using gasoline to remove the grease. Waxing over it would've ruined my bases apparently. Goo gone would've also worked. Cheers fast icelantics again!!
