What to throw?

I just got over my fear of backflips and have been throwing them down on 30' jumps all weekend...just curious as to what tricks are easiest to progress off of a backflip?

Well back flips are 90% balls and 10% skill. They arent really that hard, they are just scary looking. Its more of how are you at spinning? Try dropping your shoulder on a spin and going off axis, then progress from there. As for the flip, you can try to 180 in it to rodeo.

word...thats what i figured was the next easiest step. just wanted some reassurance that i wasnt going at it the wrong way. thanks.

a rodeo is not a backflip 180.. try doing flat 3s first. then turn that into a flat 5 which you can call a rodeo basically.

A rodeo is a more inverted flat 5. Im not saying do a flip then spin. I learned a rodeo backwards from most I guess and started throwing a 180 mid back flip, then mellowing out the flip a little. Instead of inverting a 540.Either way, a rodeo is a flat 5 where your head goes below the axis parallel to the ground instead of staying on that axis if that makes sense.

i have always been told that rodeo 5 were a backflip 180...i do believe you that it is not, but what would a backflip 180 be, then?

all the vids on youtube of rodeo5s basically look like a lincoln loop 180...is that basically it? sorry for the stupid questions..i should know this but its hard to follow when no one throws the shit at ur local hill.

this isnt too bad... The picture sequence is nice toohttp://www.skinet.com/skiing/how-to/how-to-ski/2008/08/how-to-throw-a-rodeo-540
