So any suggestions for staying busy. Torn ACL and meniscus have me out for the season. Need ideas on what to do. Done with school and cannot work due to the injury so I've got the next 4-6 months to myself.
sorry vibes dude. but film/edit as much as you can. battlefield 3/skyrim. get mad sympathy sex from chicas. try to branch out and find things that interest you. when i got hurt i tried to get into photography. i sucked but it was real fun. most importantly try to keep a positive mental attitude as best you can. keeping positive and working hard to come back stronger are the most important things you can do
video games for the first couple weeks, then rehab like its your job and celebrate twice as hard. also I agree with whoever said make music. and not this electronic garbage, become a world-renowned composer or something, fuck it.
wow that's really shitty dude, sorry to hear. +vibes. I would just work on getting that leg strong again. Whenever I have free time I just waste my life away on NS. Or watch a ton of edits on Vimeo and whatnot, or ski dvd's, play jibbin, and porn.
your bum leg will actually get stronger just from training the good one, it makes the nerves fire or something without the muscle really moving, look it up
vibes man mabye try making your own skis, video games, try one of those facebooks of sex, spend alot of time now working out the rest of your body and keeping fitness up as much as you can, get phiso as soon as possible, looking into filming/photgraphy and try other sport like swimming and non impact stuff
become addicted to a drug. Enjoy the first few weeks of being really high all the time. slowly spiral downward into a self loathing, dark, introverted whole. hit rock bottom. learn what you want in life, and and how awesome life really is. kick the habit. feel proud of yourself, and feel like you really accomplished something. set off down a new road in life that leads where you want to go.
4-6months is a perfect time frame for this.
Or, you use this time to learn a new language on rosetta stone.
I got injured last season. +Vibes to you, it is tough.
read a lot of books!!!!! They are entertaining and helpful for life most the time.
photography is good, so is filming and editing, but hard to do early on. I suck at drawing but I did a lot of it: it is great for venting frustration and I eventually got okay, definitely fun though.
exactly what happened to me last season. 3 days and done, and same injury. get your surgery, do what the doctors/PTs ask and nothing they tell you not to do. other than that, i'd suggest you:
i tore ligaments in both knees last year and broke my femur all in the same accident after about 3 weeks of skiing. i spent the entire year working out, so do that! ride the bike, lift weights, do water exercises. listen to every word your therapist says because they're there to get you back on skis. stay determined and motivated. i did all that and my year went by really quick and i was able to get back on skis this year! good luck man! if you have any questions, i know a lot about this shit so PM me if you're interested in tips or anything!
