ok so im heading up to stratton in feb(4th-7th) and im real pumped but dont know much about the town or the moutnain its self. HELP ME OUT HERE NEWSCHOOLERS! lemme kno bout some sick shit to hit up in town and on the mt in my three days there. looking for some sweet tree lines to hit and just fun stuff to ride in general.

For a serious answer now...

You can check out The Green Room (great bar in the stratton village), go shopping at Manchester Outlets, hit up a snowmobile tour and grab a bowl of chili at Smoking Bowls.
 
learn the take off, approach, landing, maneuver model.

then hit the quarterpipe wedge to 2ft gap they call a step down.

jk i haven't been there in a week, but hopefully they have better shit set up.

 
Lower Middlebrook on the sunbowl is all set up and was really good Sunday. the flow was nice and they changed it up quite a bit. They are also going to have the Superpipe and Open Park set up this weekend. Hitting sun bowl is way better than tyrolienne(sp?) park on the main mountain. They also just finished their bordercross course which is a lot of fun compared to the years past.
 
hahaha all my friends got season passes to 3 mtns this year one being stratton and one of my friends w the pass thought it was called scranton for about 2 weeks. "so you skiing a lot this winter" "yeah got a season pass to sunapee, okemo, and scranton" "oh nice where is scranton??" "in vermont" "huh never heard of that mountain"
 
wait theres a smokin bowls in stratton...only one i know of is right near the highway way down past chester...wheres the other one
 
If you're going to be around that first weekend of February....

I'd swing down south about 20 miles and mingle with some peeps from the Dew Tour.

Hey I might work at Mount Snow and be a tad bias but I know that when the US Open is up at our friends to the North. I hit up those parties too...

If you stranded there hit up the Green Door Pub or Mulligans for good brews and times. Red Fox is always a great time too. Only place in So.VT that pours a true Guinness with shamrock and all in the head.

 
Dew Tour weekend shall be the most epic party weekend of all time. I'm cracking beers at 8AM sharp. If you're not 14 and you want to party real hard Sat/ Fri nights, hit me up with a PM, I'll let you know where our parrtay is at! Kegs, bongs, vapes, blunts, kegs. Gonna be ill!!!
 
best tree lines up at stratton r probably up in Why Not, Test Pilot and Kidderbrook Ravine.Why Not is right off of sunbowl express whihc is off Black Bear. Hit that up for a nice cliff drop .Kidderbrook Ravine and Test Pilot are off Upper Kidderbrook. Ravine is skiers left woods and Test Pilot is skiers right woods. Both are sick runs especially if it snows a little.
