What to do in Denver?

so you're 14 or 15 years old, enjoy shopping in bigbox stores and pseudo designer mall boutiques, and like eating at chilis, maybe applebees?

so you're 18 or 19, just got kicked out of your parents house and looking for a job? Enjoy doing drugs and listening to the shitty local bands we have here?

Not going to even touch this one. You have broken through to a level of retardedness I naught thought possible. Please leave my state if you don't like the things it has to offer. You can live in a suburb and listen to Coldplay anywhere.

dude theres a reason people move to cities like new york and chicago, and its because they are the exact opposite of everything the places you mentioned embody. and just so you know, because you apparently know nothing about the denver scene, we've been cranking out some of the best acts this country has had in the last 5 years. we're behind the 3 big metropolises and austin as far as music goes, and thats it.

I guess it just goes to show that I can make false assumption, too.

p.s. thanks for providing evidence to support your claim.

10/10. I agree completely.

get the fuck out of colorado and move to some shit town in florida or arizona if you want to live your lackluster cultureless suburban middle class life.

OP, sorry this got grossly off topic. I think what you should take from all of this, is come to Denver with an open mind. Take the advice of the locals you meet here, and you will have an amazing time. Do not restrict yourself to where you think you should go. Our aquarium and theme parks pretty much suck. Be flexible, be open, and don't be afraid to go outside of your comfort zone a little. Denver is really an amazing city with all kinds of different cultures melded together in relative harmony.
Music is a huge part of my life and why I love Denver, If you can provide us the dates you are here, I (and Im sure Dan,) would be more than happy to make some local music recommendations based on your tastes.

because I've lived in more countries than you've visited, speak two languages fluently and two more conversationally, am classically educated in several instruments, and have never worn abercrombie in my life, means I'm more cultured than you. again, leave our state and move to arizona. oh you can't, because you're 15 and think highlands ranch is a nice place to visit if you come to Denver.

did you go to the westword music awards at the bluebird? my buddy got fucking tanked and ended up shirtless on stage shouting slurred nonsense.

yeah OP, if I'm not out of town when you're here, I'll gladly spend a night on the town with you and show you some awesome things to do, no matter what your interests.

You can lie. Cute. Let me try it out:

I have lived in every country in the world and I speak 42 different languages. I've played a total of 11 different instruments in concert for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and I don't think American Eagle is cool. Please remove yourself from my great cultured state and move somewhere else that doesn't have culture. Oh, but you can't because you don't have a job, and your parents won't lend you any money.

dude the last time my parents helped pay for anything at all was my ACL surgery 3 years ago. but I'm done trying to argue with you, there is already a general consensus that your are the clueless one here, so back to topic.

OP mr. clueless here actually made a solid suggestion when he was trying to argue with me. If there is a performance at the Performing Arts Complex while you are here, an hour before show time all tickets become 5 dollars for any musical performance, and all local plays and musicals. There are student discounts for touring plays and musicals too if you are a student still. I take advantage of the 5 dollar tickets every chance I get, and have seen several musicals for dirt cheap. most recently I got a 100 dollar ticket to Young Frankenstein for 17.50 because of student discounts. something to keep in mind.

Go to Five Points and buy some crack. If you're near the REI Flagship store on Sundays they spin fire poi after dark by the water front. Red Rocks is cool I guess.

haha you are quite the fag troll.

Anyway OP I would suggest you go play in the Golden Kayak park if you dont mind cold water. There are also some good trails around there.

I was at the zoo last week. something about seals and otters swinging is so mesmerizing.

also, jump street kicks ass.
