I'm gonna be in Denver and around Breck in a few days. I have some places I am gonna go to but was wondering if there are any cool shops/places to go. Any ideas are appreciated

OMGGZZZZZ GO TO THE JIBBERISH LOHI STORE AND BUY ALL Z HATS CAUSE THEYRE SELLING LIKE HOT CAKESS AND YOU WANNA BUY EACH ONE SO YOU ARE OF THE HIGHEST STATUS ON NS, LIKE SOOOOOO STEEEZE, YOU GOTTA GET SOME OF THOSE LIDS

the mall skatepark on Colfax. it is indoors and is so sick nice lines. the mall is packed with shops its a mile around(shaped like a circle). good food and shops. Also the skate park downtown is really sick. has like five bowls and some sick rails if you blade they are sick.

its right by the Denver skate park but in golden its like a ten minuet drive they the a Coors brewery tour its pretty cool

Walk around Colfax at night.

You could go to Elitches. Maybe there's a concert a red rocks. Play golf. Go to Del Friscos steakhouse.

A few people from my town have moved to Denver, and they love the area. Well, by a few, its prolly 1 percent of our town, because its a small upstate NY town ahah, go out and explore, they all love it

if you're over 21 and in town before the 26th, hit me up, I have a ton of suggestions on shit to do.

haha. i love how in the winter, all the kids from denver tell everyone from the east coast that denver is the shit and there is so much to do. now its summer and all you can do is shop.

There's a really good German restaurant there, I think I might have the address and name somewhere if you want it.

the best german restaurant in the area is up coal creek canyon, a ways from denver. but worth it if you like german food.

i have been to a denver rockies game and the coors brewery
i recall the touring being long and cool at the brewery.

I mean you can mountain bike till your heart's content, you can mountain board, hike, kayak, canoe, white water rafting, ATV trails/offroad trails, alpine slides...

there's a lot of things you can do in ballerado over the summer...

we flew in the denver. seen a game, went to the brewery, and headed west to ogdan. crashed there overnight and went to an airplane memorial thing whatever tons of planes, and then a dinosaur park? (yeah i was younger). seen the temple, salt lake, clarke planetarium, yada yada...
then we went south to moab and stayed there along with going to the 4 corners, grand canyon, zion national park, bryce canyon. horse back riding in monument valley.
but yeah i think like you highlight, you need to incorporate nature in to your trip. now is the time to kayak, golf, raft, fish, hike, mountain bike.

This I live right off colfax and there is a hooker that destroys the corner. And if you want legit hookers there is always Saturdays.... mmmmm "A lap dance is so much better when the stripper is crying" BHG

Broadway around Alameda. Cool stuff going on. Also check out who's playing at the Bluebird, Gothic, Hi Dive, and Rhinoceropolis. Usually good bands are in town. (I'm playing the Hi-Dive on Saturday haha)

Absolutely not. I made the mistake of trying to get on I-25 from Broadway once. Terrible idea. Do not go there. It is a horrible part of town.

I would recommend getting a membership to Cherry Hills Country Club and playing golf there.

I haven't been there in at least a year or more, so things must have changed, because it used to be all hardcore and punk bands playing there.

oh crazy. guess its graduated from diy venue status then. I used to live at monkey mania for a while before it was condemned. I was so down with the dirty venues, but thats awesome to hear that they made rhino legit. too bad its still in RiNo so its a bitch to get there if you're too drunk to bike.

Why do you want him to think our city is a shithole?

I'm trying to direct him to the classy parts of town, and you're trying to make him wish he visited Detroit instead.

dude you need to get learned if you think cherry hills country club is what denver has to offer.

haha. except for cherry creek north, you just told this kid to go to the same suburban mall 4 times over. and I'm sure you didn't mean cherry creek north. If i wanted to see suburbs, I'm assuming he wouldn't ask what to do in Denver.

If at all possible I would have redirected him to Scottsdale, AZ. But, considering that isn't a possibility, I figure I can at least tell him a couple nice places to go.

Hahaha maybe if he is a 16 year old girl he would enjoy those parts of town. I don't know Denver super well, but usually when I'm there I'm on East colfax at a show. It's pretty sketchy, but I think they have been cleaning it up. Last time I was at the bluebird I remember thinking it looked pretty nice, there are some sweet bars and stuff.
Plus unless you ARE a 16 year old girl, there are not too many places in Denver that are that shitty really. Its a pretty dope city.
