What to do in Boston?

Bump:

Going to boston tomorrow for a day trip, with a camera, few rolls of film, and no real plan. Anyone wanna give me suggestions as to where to go? Main goal is to shoot pictures, dont want to spend much money (besides a day pass for the T, and for pizza at pizzeria regina)

go to the fens, it's so peaceful and nice there and there are never any crowds like in the commons and the public garden

plus if you're trying to get a quick hj from a gay prostitute, there's no better place.

that's actually true. And no, I'm not the one giving nor receiving aforementioned service. Arrest reports don't lie though.

The fens are nice during the day. I love that part of Boston.

My all time favorite location is the dirty dud though. Dudley square. You got a bus station, a police station, a courthouse, and even a mosque, and about 100 community centers per every 500 square yds.

(please, don't actually go there.)

You are the smartest person ever..the breakfast club is unreal plus the just remodeled a few months ago to add more seats - seriously one of the best bfast places ever..but dont try to find it in cambridge cause its in brighton

Yup. Don't fucking go here after dusk unless you want to view copious amounts of gay sex/be stalked by men

1337 - since you're gettign pizza at regina do the harbor walk in the north end there are two great locations. Near the Steriti hockey rink as dusk the sun sets over the charlestown bridge and zakim bridge plus you can get the u.s. constitution in the background cause its right over the harbor in charlestown. Secondly if you take the harbor walk to the battery wharf you can get sick pictures of east boston/downtown over the water

nice dude. not really sure what shots you're going for, but some of the best places that I know of are the harbor in the north end (as someone mentioned), super cool place with lots going on. North end parking is pretty rough, you might be best off paying a parking garage 10ish dollars to park for 4 hours.

From there, you can drive through the financial district, the seaport has IMO the best timelapse spot in all of boston. Finding a spot here shouldn't be a problem, if you can't find one, keep driving towards the Convention Center (place they hold the Boston Expo) and there's so many meter spots.

1:20 of the video below, that timelapse sucked though there's a much better view

As I typed that out, another good spot is Storrow Drive in Charlestown. It gives you a view of all of Boston, from the Pru all the way to seaport. There's pull off 30 minute parking all along the road and you can almost always find a spot (plus it's free, no meters)

1:05 of this vid -- but the farther you drive down the road the better the skyline
