What to do about an edge blowout?

So there is about a one inch piece of edge missing from my ski along with some of the base. I have no clue what to do to fix it without it coming out again.

There's nothing you can do to fix it, just switch skis (put the one you usually have on your right foot on your left foot from now on). Also, I'd file down the corners of the pull out so they're a bit smoother to prevent them from catching something and pulling out more edge.

There is a bit of repair work you can do to prevent any more damage from occurring. What you need to do is to go get some 5 or 10 minute hobby epoxy (g-flex) and then fill the area with it. It may take a few applications to build up the epoxy, but you'll need to build it up slightly larger then the base and sidewall. Then just sand it back flush. If some of the edge is sort of hanging out of line still you'll need to clip it back past where it's bent out. This thread here is a solid example of how it's done (look at the OP's before and after pics) Thread:https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/735072/

Newor has the right idea in that thread. Aha don't take my advice in there. After me and him a had a discussion we concluded that his method would work best.
